  1. Regarding Repears of Vengeance and the command ability Leave None Alive: If I took RoV as my Slaughterhost with Archaon in my list, under what circumstances could I trigger this command ability on Archaon? Would he need to be within 8 inches of a non named RoV daemon? Or, seeing as he would gain the RoV keyword too, is it legit to use it on him even if he is going solo?
  2. Fair, I did think that might be the case.
  3. I have an 8th edition Lizardmen army I'm considering rebasing on to rounds. Only thing is I cannot be arsed with another summoning heavy army. Is there a viable way to go with Seraphon that isn't summon spam or is that really their only angle?
  4. Was expecting to see something about allies in the GHB but after an initial pass I can't see anything. Am I missing something or has this been over looked again?
  5. I consider Path to Glory as half a dozen pages of scrap paper included with every battletome.
  6. I'm trying to swing back from being cynical and think how best they could be used. Maybe the battalion, the witherstave and a Harbinger of decay backing them up. (Thermalrider Cloak on him too). Wide alpha strike to tie units up and then ferry units of plague bearers around with the boatman to cover the rest of the field. They aren't going to be a lolly alpha strike by any means but as a wall they might have some merit.
  7. Yeah I realise that, hence why I opened that post with "If this is all the Maggotkin changes".
  8. If this is all the Maggotkin changes then its clear to me that they have been motivated by one thing only; sell stock. No one runs Pusgoyles, no one uses that battalion, so I imagine there is shelf upon shelf of these kits gathering dust somewhere. Hate to take the cynical approach but this GHB does nothing for Nurgle in the competitive meta at all.
  9. Having just come into possession of some new on sprue Bloodthirsters I find myself wondering what the optimal load out is for a Tyrants of Blood list? One of each kind, or somewhere in between?
  10. I think there is an argument to be made for taking warriors with halberds under certain circumstances. ie: You have a lot of them and are using Blades of Putrefaction. With the extra reach provided by the halberd allowing you to fight "in two ranks" you are ramping up your chances of getting the mortal wounds to pop. Fringe case I know but worth considering!
  11. Is there any halfway decent 1000pt lists lurking in this new book?
  12. Ah you already get two poses. That's brilliant.
  13. New Flesh Eater here, looking for some advice. I have sketched out a 3 Terrorgheist list and need some advice on how to vary the models so I'm not stuck with the same pose. I'm planning to adorn each of my ghoul kings with various paraphernalia to differentiate them, the big beasties are the problem though. Anyone got any experience with this?
  14. How on earth do you beat legions of Nagash as Nurgle? Beyond hoping the opponent lazily bubble wraps their general and you can squeeze a drone strike in, what else should you be doing? I'm completely out of ideas.
  15. How do you Maggots find vanguard games? I tend to play a lot of 1000pt level games at the moment. This isn't really out of choice, I'm stuck with a 4x4 table at home for the time being. I'm finding it very hard to be effective at 1000pts and I'm struggling to put my finger on why. I'm playing against Legions of Nagash almost exclusively. I don't feel there is enough in the tool box at 1000pts to put up any real resistance against them. I can't set up a big enough anvil to weather the 40 skeleton assault without compromising every other element of the list. If I do dish out enough damage to kill something I'm too slow to pressure grave sites and find myself back to square one. Anyone have any advice or experience for things to consider at the 1k level? I can't seem to find the balance to mitigate our slow movement and low damage output. Or is Nurgle at 1k just a very tough ask?
  16. I didn't realise Gors/Ungors could be taken as battleline in anything aside from BoC allegiance or just good old GA chaos. If getting the mark of Slaanesh is enough to make them legal battleline then this is good news indeed.
  17. So, the Azyr app (...I know) is suggesting something odd. I just included the Depraved Drove battallion in a list and as a result it's no w suggesting I can select Gors and Ungors as battle line. Is this right or just another odd quirk of this app?
  18. Apologies if this has been asked before. Regarding the Depraved Drove. If I run this in a Slaanesh army and use the Fallacious Gift, will the target of the gift qualify as bearing an artefact and thus be fair game for this battallion ability?
  19. The Daemon Prince won't. The abilities on his warscroll aren't reliant on him having a god specific keyword. Mechanically it's a choice that triggers at start of the game. Whatever marks that he may gain after that don't activate additional abilities.
  20. So it's reciprocal? I understand who they can take as allies, I just wondered if the list was the same in reverse.
  21. Apologies if this has been asked already. I see the people LoA can ally in to their force, but is there any reliable information on what armies can take LoA as allies? I want to add some artillery to my Nurgle force.
