So I’ve got my conversion to units for count as Barrow Kings. Only units I need sorted are Simulacra (living statues) and Embalmed ones (non Egyptian mummies). I think trueblades could make for a good rep on the Mummies with their strike last as a “curse”. It’s really about finding the right unit to represent them, open to suggestions. VLZD - barrow king on sky chariot Wight king - barrow king M. Wight King - m. barrow king Necro - shadow druid Deathrattle - as is Black knights - unquiet horsemen Grave guard - barrow guardians Vargskyr - tomb stalker Vargheists- gargoyles Terrorgheist- winged nightmare Trueblades Valmorn or Exiled dead - embalmed ones Bloodborn or velmorn? - Simulacra

Warhammer - The Old World

Thinking about it. I think 3 ranks of 5 should be the cap for units. It’s still a lot to build, paint, rank and move around. Any more it becomes cumbersome -
Warhammer - The Old World

The mass ranks is why the game went away. There were too many models. I’m talking multiple blocks of of 30-40 models. That is on top of model ranges not being refreshed or updated, no books. -
The "mortals redesign" Discussion
Mandzak-Miniatures replied to CommissarRotke's topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions
Looks like they are wearing kettle helmets. I believe the intention was to show something similar. In the art and miniatures I see people similarly equipped in layers of armor, mostly plate, with tunics and such overlayed to display colors and heraldry.- 1,101 replies

With some minor sculpting you could just use DKOK models like I am. Provides a completely different, nice light armored look.- 1,101 replies

The only blood bowl I want them to show is khemri. It’s been a long enough wait. -

Yes I did, thank you! I have a lot of units sculpted+converted like this that have been waiting for the new book so I can determine new weapon load outs. -

I’m hoping the horse knight kit, has the barding as optional. Would really like updated horses like the pistolier. -

Cities of Sigmar in AoS 3
Mandzak-Miniatures replied to Neil Arthur Hotep's topic in Cities of Sigmar
I’d just like selected heroes to unlock battle line, not general. Also there is zero reason why a SCE general showing up wouldn’t be in command over measly “common folk”. outside of that across the board, mostly mounted units, should also include a hero/general option. There’s zero reason a new warscroll could be made to make model in a sisters of the thorn a hero etc. this goes for all armies -

Cities of Sigmar in AoS 3
Mandzak-Miniatures replied to Neil Arthur Hotep's topic in Cities of Sigmar
With dawnbringers I could see the return of priests of Sigmar & the war alter in some form. I would like to see the ability to create your own city: pick a realm, select an artifact from a table, select a coalition (not counting SCE), select 2 wide rules/ abilities. Of course there would be caveats. I strongly believe that the way cities currently unlocks “special” troops needs to be redone. Heroes should unlock special troops, not general. This would allow for a more eclectic army should the player decide. also let’s face it, the current coalition rules are stifling -

All of ogors fire arms aren’t crafted by them, so it really isn’t a surprise. this guy is vastly less pirate than the old man eater. If anything he is closer in resemblance to the trench coat maneater -

That ogor is less pirate than the actual maneater pirate. The only thing that makes him a “pirate” is his coat. -
Yeah this stuff is cool. Very similar to the stuff I’ve been slowly working on Araby stuff for years lol. Most recent versions (all WIP): Archer, royal guard, Djinn, efreeti (fire ele)

Little further south and to the west please -
I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t need any reinforced units. With everything being conversion heavy it makes my work load easier, this also frees up space for other things! one list leaves space for Krondys (big djinn) and budget fire elemental “hydra” another includes cele-p as a djinn, a frost Phoenix as tempest elemental and a hydra as a budget fire elemental but also includes 2 copters (carpet bombers) the other list has both frost and fire Phoenix as the full “elemental” and cele-p. of course I could just do one elemental and include some other unit, and none of these lists are meant to win games, just fun to map out what I could make!
-
Thank you. Due tot he nature of how heavily things are converted and sculpted I have to make sure they can align with a list and have plausible representation for the unit.
-
I made another Hallowheart list to include a Knight incantor (vizier) and praetors (ogor bodyguard). Had to split the sotw into two groups to be able to get the third SCE unit. Phoenix also turned into a hydra. I could drop the spears, add another copter and upgrade the Knight incantor but figure right now there’s more diversity and either way the list is still Garbo lol

Well if anyone has ideas on how to work some synergy into my list or have any other ideas please let me know your thoughts.
