ChippyRick
wow, really liking the ship. Been looking at the models up close at our club over the weekend and also lots of blogs, the models have really grown on me. Your gold specifically look lovely on the ship. Keep the pics coming
DynamicCalories
Eek, it's been a while. Finally finished up my first ten Arkanauts properly after finishing with Uni and graduating last week. Happy with how they have turned out. Not happy with the idea of doing 10-20 more Picked up a Khemist and some Edrinriggers too, so they're next!
Tommy
The copper beards were a great decision, keeps them looking like Dwarfs. In other schemes where they're the same colour as the rest of the body suit they can get lost a little.
DynamicCalories
@Tommy thanks! I love the GW scheme but it's far too much metal for someone that isn't so skilled in differentiating them all, and as you say, certain details get lost quite easily! Oneyah
They look great. I'm in the middle of my third arkanaut company but looking forward to going on to the endrinrigfers. The khemist is fun to paint

DynamicCalories
I spent a LONG night doing this, and I am going to regret that at work tomorrow.
Tzaangor Management
Great stuff. Lines looking really sharp on the paintwork and the colour scheme is excellent. Looking forward to a group shot! Also, if you lose your job from being to tired, then you'll have more time to paint at home, so it's win-win. 2
DynamicCalories
I didn't lose my job! I have lost a bit of paint from some models though, I really need to get used to not holding the models themselves, but perhaps doing the thing where you drill into their feet, and perhaps but some varnish over them? I am very wary of that though in case it goes horribly wrong.
Rivers3162
Very nice work on those dwarves - think you've convinced me to get some for myself. Will follow this log with interest!

Only disadvantage it occasionally gets in between the toes and stuff. But it's easy enough to remove.
DynamicCalories
I know this isn't AoS... but it is Nurgle, and this is a Nurgle plog... ha. Picked up some of the new Death Guard stuff - 3 snapfit Plague Marines from GW and a Blightbringer sprue from a facebook group (also a poxcaster but he ain't pictured. Think it's fun to use them to mark progress from my earliest stuff. First model painted this January, when I came back to the hobby after 10 years: 7 Months of sporadic painting later: (particularly pleased with this lad's face) Not a *huge* leap, but I think the improvements are showing. Need to be more adventurous with my techniques perhaps. GW shot me a message on instagram to say they would be featuring my Plague Marines on their site, which is very nice of them, and makes me feel like I've made progress. Biggsy
I really like these. The bone armour really makes them pop. As for more adventurous techniques. Perhaps just a little bit more grime and dirt on the armour would be good.
DynamicCalories
Thanks! People keep telling me to make them more dirty but... I prefer the cleaner looking Nurgle. I could probably do some more grime but I think that detracts from the bone armour, and I like that scheme too much to obfuscate it.
Aegisgrimm
I think they look great the way they are! It's nice to see them in original legion colors, too instead of olive green.
DynamicCalories
Cheers! I'm actually a bit sad that the Lord of Contagion hasn't got a hell of a lot of trim for the green, thinking about doing a spot pauldron.

DynamicCalories
As I mentioned in the WIP thread it's been a long time since I touched AoS. After a long slog of 40k stuff I have decided I might do a Skirmish Warband to mix things up, and I had an idea. Here is my finished Knight Heraldor, which I basically speed painted to test an idea - it took around 4 hours I reckon, which makes me keen to keep up the pace and finish the rest, though I have no idea how to get hold of just ONE Pallador without buying a whole box.
Redking
Very nice. It's a unique paint scheme and well executed. Can't wait to see him based.
DynamicCalories
Progress with some more non-40k Nurgle
DynamicCalories
Rise from my gwabe and all that. Did that Shadesire Stormcast gang like my Heraldor up there. I Think they're pretty neat models, l especially love the bases!
DynamicCalories
Did some Shadespire just before new year, quick and dirty scheme! I have some close-ups here too!
DynamicCalories
Adding to the theme: I regret base coating this guy in white as there were some recesses I just couldn't hit and I think they look silly now.
DynamicCalories
Back to Nurgle as I finish off Blightwar. I couldn't be bothered to paint my new Plaguebearers the same as my old, as I now have many more paints than I did around 10 months ago. I Progress has pleased me though, as I am happier with my WIP mini than I am with my old completed guy!
