Hello, newbie Handbook question

Hello all. I played Dwarves before Age of Sigmar came out, many years ago. I'm getting back into gaming, but I don't own any of my old army so I'm building a new one with Dispossessed and possibly Fyreslayers if they synergize well. I've been lurking here for a few weeks and just wanted to say hello and ask a couple questions about the General's Handbook. I understand that the Dwarven compendium rules are mostly overridden by the Dispossessed warscrolls, but that some are still legal like special characters. Are compendium warscrolls generally accepted in tournaments, and how do you usually handle the joke rules that are left in some of them (Josef Bugman and holding a drink for instance). I also understand there is a second edition on the way and was curious if there's an approximate release date yet known, and also if anything has been leaked about Dispossessed changes? I read they leaked many Fyreslayer units were getting cheaper so I was just curious.

Not sure if you know, but there's a new dwarf release coming out in April, the Kharadron Overlords. A kind of steampunk version of dwarfs who have airships and balloons.

At the moment compendium rules are generally accepted, but there has been talk of no longer accepting them in some tournaments. I just play that the joke rules are active and you don't need to do the action or whatever, not sure what the ruling is in tournaments.
