Mystical Terrain

Quick question - when do you folks roll for Mystical Terrain?

Locally we roll at the start of turn but interested to know if others roll whenever they please!

We do it at the start of each player turn (Hero Phase), and only the player who's turn it is rolls - for their own units.

Aye cheers that's how we do it. I think it was a Facehammer podcast who said it doesn't actually say you have to roll at start of turn so you could do all your casting and then roll haha  

I Think the intention is do it to be rolled at start though

We used to roll at the start, but when we read that you don't have to... Makes heroes a bit more reliable, but mystical is still a risk.

It's things like this that TOs and players need to look out for  it could have a big effect on the game if you get off all your spells and then roll for Mystical and fail it.

Not certain this needs a TO ruling - nothing suggests the roll should happen at the start of the phase (although like others, I was, until a certain podcast opened my eyes!).

It does say, unit can't be selected to cast spells. Think intention was to make it happen at start of Hero Phase. But on re reading, yer I can read either way.

I love Mystical terrain and enjoy using the 6 terrain types. My opponents usually want to steer clear of it (don't like chance, maybe?) but getting 2-6 then leaving the 3" from terrain you've still a round of wound juice in ya;)
