CoffeeGrunt
Yeah, I really like the freehand on the banner, looks fiddly. Good use of those Ironbreaker shields as well. They're really coming along now, though. You should do a group shot some time!
Ademo
I'll get a family photo once I've done a couple more bits I think! So, here's an early wip of my wight king! Just had an agrax wash hence the shine (still wet) gives a rough idea of the design on banner and cloak - they will both be a bit tidier - but I find it's good to press on and return later. The cloak in particular will be partially obscured by weathering anyway.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Ademo
Finished off my wight king! Pretty pleased with the outcome overall, didn't take too long either! I see we are getting a skeleton rebox...interesting indeed! Anyone got any wild guesses? Just a simple rebox or sign of a battletome in the works?Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Soulsmith
Just saw it on Facebook, really ace buddy, I love the cloak decoration.
DarthAnnüss
I'm trying to be good and stick to one army right now, but threads like this are killing me. I can not wait to see more of this army.
The Gunslinger
Really amazing work and some great inspiration. I love the conversions you have done that really gives your army some character. Looking forward to seeing more.
Ademo
Thanks guys! Went to salute today (uk gaming convention) and picked up a few bits : heavily reduced skeleton box, a zombie dragon - my mate took the ghouls and horrors, more mushrooms and my trusty brown primer!Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Nin Win
Love the restrained verdigris oxidation effect. Adds depth without drawing the eye away from his scary, scary face.

Ademo
Not too much to report but been doing a bit of building of the vlozd and getting post - start collecting skeleton horde (ordered months ago - shocking postage!) I will probably sell the mortarch off as I'm not big on 'special' characters, but the box was good value and having the cavalry ovals was a big draw! So I almost have enough minis for the legion of death battalion. That 130mm base on the vlozd is pretty daunting!! I'm thinking a cliff of sorts or clambering over some ruins but I'm open to suggestions - given the kind of ancient warriors/barrows/celt theme perhaps henge stones, cairns etc might be appropriate? Ademo
I had a rare brainwave! For my 21st I was given a replica Isle of Lewis chess set. So I dusted it off and decided to experiment with pressing green stuff to loot the pattern! To my surprise it actually worked! So now my dragon will be clambering over some waystones of sorts. I will probably use this method again for some terrain in the future [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

ZealousJ
Aaaaargh! I thought I had decided on a ghost and ghouls style death army for my first AoS outing. Why does everyone in this community have to be so friendly AND great hobbyists Aaaaargh!

Ademo
Thanks guys! Made a good amount of progress this evening. Finished up basing and building. The dragon wont be attached to the base for painting and the rider will be seperate too! A few bits of filling to do on the rider armour as well. I tried to tone down the gothic elements a bit - less spikey etc and changing the shield over to the ironbreaker celtic styled one. The base itself I tried to make it look like the dragon was clamouring through the edge of a stone circle - hopefully that comes across??Paint wise, I think I might try a pale white/grey for the dragon skin as I'm keen to keep away from gore which might contrast too much to the skelies and ghosts. Ademo
Started work on the beasty itself! Got most the base coloues down now but boy is this going to take a while to complete. My idea with the skin will be to bring in some other colours by glazing them in certain areas. Overall happy with the colour choices - a bit different to most I've seen. Looking forward to giving it a good agrax wash once it's been tidied up a bit and other bases colours added. Killax
Nice basing and a very cool Undead force, looking forward to see the zombie dragon finished. I think you picked a nice solid earthly toned colour scheme and that really works well with 'realistic' undead in this setting. Keep up the cool work! Ademo
Painting bone is a loooong process! First layer done on the main body now though, next up wing bones and then highlighting!Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Ademo
The dragon is slowly coming along - most of the bone has had 2 coats other than on one wing, so that's next, then muscle! But as I fancied something a bit different for my hobby time tonight, I started and have nearly conpleted the beast's base! Sadly ran out of glue to stick down tufts and bushes etc and also need to add on leaf patches. Overall though, really happy, tried to give the stone circle a slight glow to draw attention to the markings and indicate magic. Hoping to get some decent hobby time in over the weekend to really break the back of this model.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Soulsmith
I was going to mention the base looked very small, then realised it was placeholder... Looks fantastic buddy, really quite the artist at your bases!
Ademo
Thanks@soulsmith yeh didn't fancy trying to paint the blimmin thing on it's big base - too fiddly!Update time: finished up the bone layers and started working on some blends to dark on the horns, claws and wing spines. They are a bit crude at the moment but with some glazing I hope it will smooth out a bit! Also, started work on the man himself - the vampire. Want him to look distinct but also incorporate elements used in the army. Thought I'd try and push myself in the freehand department as he will be my general. Wondering whether to add a pattern to the knee plates also or if that would be too much?Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Menkeroth
really amazing work, lots of efforts and conversions - not that easy really! But the Wight King with the banner is simply the best, he rocks!
