That's pretty cool.  Have you thought about actually creating warscrolls for the existing warbands rather than using the regular AoS ones?

yeah, the only problem I have with this is it would take a lot of time so maybe in the future :) if you have any ideas dont hesitate to share!

I like it. I'm messing around trying to put together models to match my Mordheim war and from the video game. It would be fun to try them in a real game at some point.

One thing I would change is classic, Skaven can take up to 20 models

Thanks for your feedback! Could you please care to explain why though? On fantasy Mordheim and on the pc version of the game there is no such distinction. Every faction has its cheap and expensive models, so it tents to balance out.

The orginal mordheim had a rule for skaven that they could have 20 models rather then 15, dwarfs could have 12 if i recole corectly.

Also there were hired swords for each fraction, but Skaven had only one.

Thanks for the info! I ll have another look and see what I can do!

I went through the old rules and it seems you are indeed correct! Skaven can have 20 and witch hunters 12. Due to the vast range of factions in Age of Sigmar though, I would feel alot better if I could find a better way to balance them all together.

Would a wound restriction for henchmen only, be a fairer solution? Instead of 0-15 models, it could be 0-20 wounds worth of henchmen? so a cheaper army would be more models than an elite army.

The alternative would be to get the horde factions be 20 models max instead of 15 and maybe elite factions be 12 models max.

Edit: the faction wide max models wouldn't work as intended though, as my version of the rules allows for warbands to have models from the entire grand alliance instead from single factions, so I prefer the wound restriction just for this reason.

I understand, no problem we can not bring 100% mordheim back, only GW can ;)

fun rules any way and I will try to do something if Sigmar lets me, I will let you know

Any way great job, thx

I would love to hear how it went!

Also I think I found a better way to balance this out. "If a warband has 5 or more single wounded models, then it gets to add 5 more models to its henchmen roster".

First of all thanks for the rules! Just finished playing a game (skipping the ooc parts) and have a bit of feedback re costing models with genetal handbook costs.

old mordheim heroes and henchman were closer to parity stats and cost wise but aos heroes are much powerful and expensive compared to a rank and file model on average.  This makes anything other then elite models useless if youre not trying to avoid the 15 roster limit even at 500 points.

i was fielding a skaven warlord, greyseer, 10 stormvermin and a warpfire thrower and ratling gunner at 500 points. That would be pretty much a complete/veteran warband (- skill upgrades) in old mordheim.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! What game type did you play? the classic or unchained?

Decreasing the starting gold crowns to something like 300-350 would be better? maybe even decrease wyrdstone value to make upgrading a bit slower?

A bit more drastic could be to limit the heroes of a warband... "Each warband can have from 0-5 Heroes: Can be taken from any alliance warscroll but only 1 (or maybe 2) can have their Battlefield role be “Leader” or “Behemoth”. "

This issue is why i thought of making different gamy types...specifically the "Origins" one. Have you given that a go?

Here is the link to the Mordheim rules pack, including warscrolls, the guys from Warhammer Weekly designed:

Vince and I may return to this project for a full update (and potentially integrate the points from GH) but we've been waiting to see what Specialist games does with the ruleset.  That said, we received a lot of great feedback for this project and would love to continue to hear from others who try it out.
