Neverchosen
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/xvxsshw6/embrace-three-wheeled-freedom-on-a-new-squat-scout-trike/ I have to say that the way that they have used Necromunda as a way of keeping a more traditional squat design on the shelves makes me think that if they don't go big hats for Chorfs maybe they will get some love in Underworlds or Warcry? Clan's Cynic
23 hours ago, Neverchosen said: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/xvxsshw6/embrace-three-wheeled-freedom-on-a-new-squat-scout-trike/ I have to say that the way that they have used Necromunda as a way of keeping a more traditional squat design on the shelves makes me think that if they don't go big hats for Chorfs maybe they will get some love in Underworlds or Warcry? I suspect any Warcry/Underworlds designs would stick relatively close to the AoS range, although I suppose they have had some wildly different 'local' designs with the WC Soulblight and latest UW Khorne Warband, so I could be talking nonsense. I think the reason Necromunda designs were more traditional is because the 'Specialist Games team' stuff is intentionally not cross compatible and vice versa, so they were free to drink from the Squats nostalgia well while 40k Votann went in their own direction. UW/WC/AoS (and KT/40k) kits on the other hand are expected to, for the most part, be compatible with each other's games even if they're just pity-rules. In that respect, if AoS Chorfs don't have Big Hats(tm) it seems likely that when/if TOW ever gets around to Chorfs, they might have them instead - unless they just decide to plastify the Legion of Azgorh stuff since that was Forge World's baby. It may also be that both games end up with Big Hats, but the AoS/TOW designs end up so different regardless that the two can coexist with equally impressive Big Hats that make both versions of Hashut proud.
Asbestress
I really hope we see the rumoured Underworlds band soon. I can barely wait to see how an actual AoS Chorf will look like! They are my most anticipated release for 4.0 (except for Cities wave 2) 2
Lord Krungharr
I think they'll have medium hats like the Bloodbowl ones. Those are really good blueprints.

I Don’t know what to tell you. I think we’re gonna see a big mix. I think Infernal Guard and the Aesthetic has now been quite entrenched From WHFB and from Total War. Although it might just be a unit. Now, just an observation - Maybe they do a Wierd split. Maybe they keep the Masked Infernal Guard in Old World and just reprint the whole Lot for that game system if they ever do Chorfs. And Maybe they Give the AoS Chorfs These new, aNd very stylish Hats - But, the Blood Bowl Team is Specialist, so that Aesthetic may be used for Old World - I feel like I’m stuck in a Warhammer Design Studio Paradox…
Lord Krungharr
I'm not sure actually how popular the non-hat masked dudes from Forgeworld were. The K'daai Fireborn and Bull-Centaurs and Magma Cannons/Iron Daemons were always what players oohed and ahhed at. And the foot heroes for Azgorh were very much more like the Bloodbowl guys. Though I suppose when going to battle a nice helmet makes sense....unless you already have beard-armor!

Just out of Personal choice, The Infernal Guard are my favourite foot troop, not of the Chaos Dwarfs but of Warhammer as a whole. But that could very well be because I also particularly love the Hellcannon Crew. I’m genuinely surprised, but then, my Hobby interaction is entirely down to social Media and these forums. …..I’m rather shocked, they’re just soo neat 😂
Subscriber SunStorm Posted October 17 Subscriber Share Posted October 17 I like the LoA guys a lot. I had them square based, then moved to round bases with AoS, I haven't yet got round to moving them back to square bases, but that's another story... I will say the new BB sculpts look amazing. Especially the bull centaur hero, I'd love for a new set of sculpts based on this style, either for ToW or AoS. For reference here he is compared to the Bull Centaur Renders 3 1
Snorri Nelriksson
Hoping they'll do the bullcentaurs like the Classic/bb versione and not the Fw ones(imho they were bad). Edited October 18 by Snorri Nelriksson
Neverchosen
I have to admit that I am a little surprised that Ogroids weren't folded into Hashut something about their horns and cruel weapons make them feel like a good fit. Although I feel like they are kind of pulling some weight as the defecto replacement for Chaos Trolls, Chaos Ogres and Dragon Ogres as the mid sized monstrous unit
EccentricCircle
I picked up the bloodbowl team yesterday. No intention of playing blood bowl but excited to get some new sorcerers for my legions!

These are some of my Varanguard now. 2
Lord Veshnakar
It's also worth noting that the Forge World Chaos Dwarves were just the ones from that elite warrior-cult from the Black Fortress in the Legion of Azgorh. The big hat chaos dwarves still exist alongside them, it wasn't a retcon. The crew of all of the warmachines still had the normal big hats a lot of times.
