syph0n
Not worth sharing a pic of work done on my drakespawn, but mouths about done, spines, teeth and claws on the way. Running a club at school, so took Lokhir to paint, rather than transport all my drakespawn. This is the result of 3 hours (1 hour club plus 2 hours tonight): It's all washed and ready for the final highlights. I'm going to use the Blood God paint on the swords, covering the whole metal. Then, I'll do fine little silver highlights as in the Daughters of Khaine battletome. Love that look. I've also finished building and spraying my son's Stormcast Eternals: The gold spray is fantastic. It covered really well, two fine coats from top and bottom. He'll do all the Reikland Flesh, drybrush and I'll do the fine details. I found them a joy to paint before... Unlike my own bloody aelves! MrZakalwe
One wing basecoated so far. Still a very long way to go.
syph0n
@MrZakalweI'm scared painting mine. I can't settle on a wing colour or anything but growing up all I wanted to do was paint the dragons! Progress this week: Just the base and charioteers to do. Also, actually finished 5 more drakespawn. That's just 5 left of the first batch of 15 (10 in waiting however) and the knights. Malus/dreadknight done on this unit too: Failed the June challenge miserably. I have gotta get a move on with this painting business! 3
Nos
The Jimi Steelheart Experience Fixing them into their bases first was stupid, I was a fool. I hated the Stormcast on release, and the AOS concept in general but I've been wooed by both with the release of 2nd edition. First models I've painted in years but they're a joy so far. Although No Helmet Jones looks a bit of a prat.
Kisufisu
Slowly working on my "prototype stormfiends", still a ton of stuff to add to them. Kind of struggling with possible leg plating. They will be the gautfyre team, so they needed flames, lots of 'em. Ignore the decade old paints etc Then a not-so-wip plague priest that still needs some water effects added. Funnily my only pestilens dude. The horns were added by the guy who sold it to me, but I liked them and so I kept them on.
Lysandestolpe
Working on some Judicators for Gencon after work each day. About 3-4 highlights left then some glazing to be done. So close to having just Heroes left haha
Swooper
Are we pretending it's still Wednesday? Cool, here are a couple of lightly converted minotaurs I've been working on. Hands and axes not pictured, they're separate for chest access purposes. Got some more highlighting and detail work to do before applying war paint and finishing up the bases. Also need to smooth out the skin highlights on the standard bearer, the Tuskgor Fur is a little too stark in some areas. 5

Nos
Steelheart Experience done, other than the bases and Hammer Girl's shield. Very enjoyable to paint these guys.
MrZakalwe
Not a lot of progress but hours are long at work (and hey at least it has two wings now). Note to self: paint the inside of the mouth before you put the dragon together. Trying to decide if I should: a) paint the belly a cream colour (which would probably look better). or b) wash and clean up the belly while leaving it blue (which would save me hours of painting). Decisions Edited July 4, 2018 by MrZakalwe
syph0n
I don't think you need to with the black dragon model. Perhaps just use more wash on the upper, scaly part so it's the same colour, but darker. Equally, you could just colour those spines at the front.

Tommy
It's that day again, whatch'all up to? Currently working through some Deepkin bits, a bit scattershot but it'll all come together in the end (I hope!).
syph0n
I've been continuing with my drakespawn knights. 3 main colours have all been applied and washed on 15 of them. "Malus" was done ages ago. I've also been working on my son's Stormcast. He's applied a wash to all of the Liberators and the Retributors. I bought him the new Knight Incantor, 2 Ballista, kitbashed a Lord-Ordinator from a Sequitor, and finally, topped up his Liberators with 2 easy to build ones and Steelheart's Champions. Complete force: He now has 3x Liberators, using Severin as a Prime with Greatsword, Obryn in another unit with Grandhammer and Angharad to add some variety of the feminine kind to another. New Knight-Incantor. I've also added broken tiles to all of the models. Along with a couple of the texture paints and some smaller rocks, I'm hoping to merge in the excellent Shadespire type bases. Ballista and kitbashed Lord-Ordinator: Easy to Build Liberator. The head is from Necromunda, and is an alternate style to the Lord-Ordinator one I used too. I'd love to get a Greatsword or Grandhammer for this model, but finding one is impossible it seems: I'll pick up a box of Evocators on Dracolines and that'll make a comfortable 2k list with some Stormcast endless spells too.

Kramer
I'm working on the knight incantor as a test model to practice OSL on. And i'm looking for any and all advice you could give me I'm going to place a little red flame or a ball of red light in his hand. So that's the source. I painted the model. Brightened up everything they light would touch and then used crimson shade to give a red glow* to all the metal bits the light hit. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. but I feel it should be brighter still? *the red is less present, more subtle, in real life compared to the photo.

Praecautus
Work in progress on my first Idoneth unit - Briomdar enclave reavers. Models are great but slow going. 6 are at the first layer stage now, so I am hoping they will be done by the end of the weekend.
