Spread attacks

Guys I have a daubt about rules. I know if I have different melee/ ranged weapons i can use one of them to attack 1 unit in range and the  other one to attack another different unit in range. Can I do the same with one only weapon?

For exemple i have a melee weapon with 6 attacks. Can I do 3 attacks on a unit and 3 in another different unit in range ? Thx a lot

Yes you can spread the attacks between multiple targets.

Corerules, 13.2 , first paragraph, last sentence.

I think only 40k has a ruling that all attacks of a single weapon has to shoot at the same target.
