Big Rob
Hi all, I'm looking to expand the handful of Tzeentch daemons I have into a proper Disciples of Tzeentch army, and am a huge fan of certain subfactions in the book (specifically: Eternal Conflagration, Hosts Arcanum, Pyrofane Cult). I'm not looking for a tier 1 tournament list but would still like for something semi-competitive that can survive vs LRL, IJ, etc. The thing is. .I hate the horrors! At least pink and blue ones anyway. I know the pinks are considered very strong but I think they're too derpy looking and wish to avoid buying them. FWIW the Tzeentch models I like the most are screamers, screamer chariots, and the greater daemons. So I guess my questions are if any of the below themes can still be (semi-) competitive, or if I'm basically stuck using blobs of pink horrors. All would be 1 or 2 drop whenever possible: -A fire themed Eternal Conflagration army, with flamers for battleline and brimstones as bodies. Chariots for speedy flanking. No greater daemons to make space for the units, focus of army would be shooting not casting/summoning. -A flying themed Hosts Arcanum army (and callback to the flying circus of Tzeentch from eons ago), with battleline screamer blobs and lots of flying daemon heros to accompany them, including Kairos and LoC. Fold reality heals screamers nicely. -A shooty mortal Pyrofane army, with multiple acolyte units (including one huge 30-man unit for receiving buffs) and multiple casters, including LoC to wear the faction enhancements and Kairos. A screamer unit or 2 for objectives since acolytes are slow. Lots of summoning generated to supplement the shooting. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments on these above themes? I'm looking to avoid using pink/blue horrors without being too uncompetitive. Thanks,
changebringer
I am no expert but I am in the process of putting together my first Age of Sigmar list. I was leaning towards Guild of Summoners to help support the Battleshock issue with the artifact. It also locks you to only summon Lords of Change. I was going to swap out the Pink Horrors for some Chaos Warriors as a weaker tarpit unit. Pyrofane Cult was the other option I was investigating, but their Battleshock stats are hard to work around. Feorag
I've run the below before. It's pretty much my go to fun army! I have run it as 3 x 6 screamers before but it just isn't as effective as having some pinks just to babysit an objective while your fatemaster, tzaangor and enlightened fly about and slap something hard! I've played a couple of eternal conflag lists too but it's not a playstyle I enjoy! I'd add maybe another hero instead with Aura of Mutation for damage bonuses.
