deynon
I used a unit of 30pikes skeleton, I don't think that can be said a horde, but it was a solid wall, it killed everything smashed against it Inviato dal mio Nexus 5X utilizzando Tapatalk

I used the skeletons as stoppers and killers to kill Bloodborn ones and Storms. The zombies created fusing a wall of undead (literally), the skeletons taken the token from the enemy troops aand elites (supported by the Banshee hiding to make them use the +1to hit, while the 2 Ghoulking taken and massacred the enemy heros and the Behemots. This has been my experience every time, I just sit a wight King next to them, if i have a wight king as my general his command gives them another +1 to hit. As far as other Deathrattle, Black Knights have not done much work for me. They charge in do very little damage and then just sit there and slowly die, i have used them mainly to just tie lots of units up, I run them in a unit of 15 because... well because i have 15 and only one guy is a banner dude so don't feel like breaking up the unit. Grave Guard... I only have 10 so haven't run them in a horde, but really paying 80 points for 5 makes them twice the price as normal skeletons...no reason to ever do this as 20 skeletons already has the same amount of attacks but doesnt have the -1 rend and the chance of a double damage on 6s. Now when you put 40 skeletons against 20 grave guard = skeletons win, even if you put 40 skeletons vs 40 grave guard you are getting more attacks from the skeletons. Wight King is sweet once you put him on a mount and give him a banner he is nice at keeping your skeletons alive + his command ability is sweet as well, otherwise he is kinda boring. Have the standard Wight King with only a shield.. dude is sweet with his 3+ armour save but still need to protect him so he can kick out the command ability and be near the skeletons to give them 3+ to hit instead of 4+. Anyway, just my experience, P.S. Moving 40 skeletons sucks.
Undead4Life
@WillofNagash where is the +1 to hit coming from? The Wight King's command ability gives a Deathrattle unit +1 attack. It's like the Vamp Lord's command ability but more restrictive.
Justinian
Serve in Death is a skeleton warrior special ability that gives them +1 to hit if they are within 18" of a death hero.
