So I would say it is quicker, and if you just finished after the washes and didn't apply any highlights I think you're already at a good solid tabletop standard, whereas at that stage from black the models are usually still very dark and the detail hard to make out. My local store is running a start collecting campaign in October looks like this guy is going to muster his Court sooner rather than later. I totally failed by starting too late and getting very little done. I think there's at least 3 or 4 stand out entries, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
