Assuming there is not much more to show, if they are preview the centerpiece models on articles it probably mean there isn't much to left (if anything) to make a whole preview show... A lot of heroes, not a lot of units shown so far so hopefully more than just Gutrippaz, Hobgrots and Boltboyz otherwise the rest of the army is going to seem very bland compared to the awesome monsters. Having some spare parts ready to do some command conversions. Waiting for the seperate boxes to kitbash, convert positioning and all the like. I really can't wait boyz. Money gone hahaha! First I need to get 2 of those orky crocs and now i need 2 of the vulchas! At the minimum! But you know what boyz? We'ze good, you know why? Because Mork told us so. It would be funny if we end being a monster army while the initial release was mostly infantry units + support heroes. We have chaff in the Hobgrotz, a more durable unit for objetives in the Guttripaz and a ranged treat in the Boltboyz. With the amount of monsters we have (2 named heroes, 3 generic heroes and 1 normal monster) I suppose some of them will take the hammer role. We also have a long range specialist unit (probably a monster killer) in the Beast-skewer. We are missing just a fast moving unit to have all the basic building blocks most army seen to have. Not a lot of variety outside of the monsters, but we should have most things covered. I do wonder how they gonna give different roles for our monsters tough. Just doing some guessing: - Gobsprakk: Magic support/damage monster (probably the "know all spell lore" + extra general named hero). - Skumdrekk: Damage monster (said to be a hero killer in during his preview). - Snatchaboss: Support monster (going by what was said in the preview). - Breaka-Boss: Tank damage monster? Maybe some synergy with other monsters? - Killaboss: Flying damage monster? - Sloggoth: Support monster. Not a lot of overlap if the points help differentiate the ones in the same category. Assuming his warscroll doesn't change, the Killaboss on Gnashtoof will probably end as a damage alternative that isn't a monster. I do hope we get some command abilities and interesting effects on they tough, as the Killabosses we got in Dominion are pretty bland. So much good stuff, though I would still like to see some fast-moving units, and I want hobgrots to be battleline because the buggers are so damn cute (plus I had a lot of fun with them the other day, lobbing grenades at duardin charging into my nearby gutrippaz). novakai Posted July 19, 2021 Share Posted July 19, 2021 i think there is more stuff to come, since they probably have to release separate foot heroes that are not tied to Dominon/ starter set box. like the battletome cover Killaboss has a different weapon from the Dominon one. also this Harpoon looks exactly like other Kruleboyz weapons and is not yet revealed. Probably going to print and convert something like these in the near future: A light cavalry with hobgrotz with small weapons or a short bow, weak damage but big unit sizes. Unless they do a show where they talk about the big bow, the mirebrute etc and unveil the cavalry as a surprise. But even if so, I can see myself converting some Savage boarboyz using some Gutrippa bitz. Having said that, by the time I have 2 of each monster kit, plus Kragnos, plus my converted mega-gargant... Next week has been teased as Stormcast, maybe the following monday we get our first look at another infantry/cavalry option, then a last stormcast reveal The week after.
