Death Army List critique

I thought I'd put the recent army let I've got and my intentions for its growth on here for people to comment on.

Using the Generals Compendium, I currently have 1360 points of death models I can select a force from.

I'd like to get a second Banshee for its shooting attack but can't really afford even more Leadership slots being used up.

I'd like to expand the Skeletons to two squads of 20.

The Grave Guard I'd like a second squad armed with shields and getting survivability buffs. I find they don't do a lot of damage but they could perhaps stand and take a pounding and refresh themselves.

i'm looking at getting some bases of Spectres for similar reasons.

In terms of synergy though this is disparate factions all under the Grand Alliance Death banner, rather than the general enhancing the Death Rattle who in turn enhance the malignant who are all reflecting powers onto the Soul Blight character. No. It's all a bit bitty and a car with grating, clunking gear changes. In Matchplay. 

As Christmas approaches there may be books that remedy these factions or add rule bonuses. But until then.....

Your maths are right, grave guard are 80 points per 5 models, so that's where the missing 80 points are.

But yes more skeletons are always good. I don't know if I'd worry about getting another unit of grave guard, I find that they deal a lot of damage but don't take much in return. I like using a big blob of skeletons to tie up dangerous opponents and then chopping them up with my grave guard. I don't like using my grave guard for anything where survivability is important because they're so expensive and I don't think they're that good at staying alive.

Black Knights are only battle line if all your models are deathrattle, which they are not, try going for a good 1000 points.

If I'm understanding your question correct then you are asking what kind of list you can play in pitched battle with your models. You could only really play at 1000 points as you don't have enough battleline units to play anything else. Even at that it's only 720 points of deathrattle that you could put on the board. So I would get a lot more skeletons so that it opens up your choices.

Yes, I knew about the Black Knights and the need for Death Rattle uniformity. You put your finger on it WillofNagash. Which is the problem I'm posting about. I believe they are only Battleline if the General has the keyword DeathRattle. Which my general doesn't, he is DeathLord. 

So, first step, get lots more Skellys.

Has nothing to do with the general, all of the warscrolls in your army must be deathrattle to take the deathrattle allegiance
