could we get a profile view?  I'm curious whether the new skittles are that much taller than the old ones, or if it's just due to the 7th ed models' forward lean.

Sure!

So interesting thing I noticed in the WH AoS app. If you select Death Grand Alliance and then LoN Faction, the Zombie and Skeleton Warrior icon has been updated and is the new Zombie and Skeleton from Cursed City.

Also if you select "Soulblight" under the Death Grand Alliance it has the other Cursed City stuff.

I am still thinking sometime in May, I know there are some individuals that are saying since Be'lakor is next weekend and no new Gravelords info, that means Gravelords is after 3.0 this summer. However, it is still very possible that on this upcoming Sunday they announce that Saturday April 24 is the next big online preview. After all the previous big previews were Jan 23, Feb 20 & March 20. If that was the case, then they could preview the rest of the Gravelords line and then announce preorder for May 1.

All speculation though.

Soulbligth gonna come in may together the novel.......

Like nighthaunt gonna came in april together the Olynder novel?

Like Soulblight gonna came in april together the Vampire Genevieve omnibus?

Black Library publications do not necessarily coincide with major Age of Sigmar releases.  That's especially true for black library stuff not even set in the mortal realms - the May book is a collection of Old World vampire stuff.

I agree, BR: Belakor was announced quite a while ago(?) And then disappeared until the preorder announcement last weekend. No reason Soulblight couldn't go the same way.

No use to speculate in a circle, nurgle world tour messed up last years plans hard, this year people are a bit better adapted, but still things go astray... so some things are thrown out in rapid succession, while others are pushed back 🤷🏿‍♀️
But as I said before, I‘d rather have the first or second book of AoS 3.0, than the last of 2.0

and without the input of the community from big events and tournaments I‘m not even sure if the next iteration of AoS will be a thing. GDubs internal playtesting and balancing has spat out mixed results at best, the FAQ‘21 hasn’t addressed the major problems, the Broken Realm books sound like the broken rules books,  with skydwarves and lumineth balling out of control...

As an IDK player also: Yes! You can see that the next edition was somewhat in the back of the writer's mind but most does not seem fully fleshed out.  But even after the edition cange they usually neet a few books to get in the grove or in other words the power creep exploded with the new Orruk book with few exceptions (Sylvaneth).

Lumineth is just silly in my opinion. They don't even try to balance that ******.

Other than that I agree. I am playing some games on TTS but I would guess that only a minority gets to play regularly right now. I am also not sure if too many people follow the fluff for that very reason or if all the rushed releases lately just fly by the community.

After a turn interval discussion with a friend, we came to the conclusion, that they did a lot of fine tuning and balancing on the cheeselords...

sadly only on the sales perspective, not the gameplay 🥳

the furry fox boi (hurakan) for 250 points is such a blatant pay2win autoinclude option, it makes my Archregent look pitiful in comparison.

but that’s what you get, for signing your soul away to GDubs... gotta pray for good rules, which LoN definitely had and for a nice local gaming group. Good thing I‘m not a competitive player

🤣

Is there a general consensus on whether the SC for Skeleton Horde is a safe purchase going into SGL? Same goes for  the FEC SC for the ZloZD and Vargheists. I know the skeletons are going to be phased out, but surely Mannfred and Neferata are going to be in the new book?

@LoonKing98 No one really knows for sure. We do know those skellies in the SC will be replaced though. so if you don't mind the old ones,  go for it!

I hope black knight are safe as I started 10 to get a jump start on my army. I think they are.

Regarding the mortarch kit, I'm sure you'll still be able to use it but I think Gdubs has a few more surprises to show us with Gravelords yet. 😉

Time will tell.

As it relates to existing LoN units, here are my thoughts:

Things we are certain to be in Gravelords:

-Skeleton Warriors

-Zombies

-Vampire Lord on Foot

-Blood Knights

-Wight King

-Fell Bats

Things I am very confident will be in Gravelords:

-Dire Wolves (they're on the Battletome cover art)

-Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon (it is on the Battletome cover art)

-Bat Swarm (they might be on the Battletome cover art or those are just Fell Bats)

-Mannfred & Neferata, they are Mortarch Vampires, so no way they are not in Gravelords, hopefully with reworked warscrolls

-Vargheists, I cannot see them not being in Gravelords, especially since they share a kit with FeC Crypt Flayers

-Coven Throne & Bloodseeker Palaquin, both are nice models featuring Vampires so I cannot see them removing these

-Black Knights, I mean the new Wight King on horse needs some Calvary to escort him, right?

-Necromancer, pretty sure we will have a Necromancer in some sort or fashion. We got one in Cursed City too.

-Corpse Cart, makes sense to have it support the cool new Zombie models.

-Nagash, I expect him to be able to be in any Death army. However with what happened in BR: Teclis I could see the Soulblight trying to break off from Nagash, so it really depends how GW takes the narrative. However my money is still on Nagash being able to be taken in Gravelords.

Things I am uncertain about being in Gravelords:

-Grave Guard, I imagine GW wants to better differentiate Skeleton Warriors and Zombies AND the new Skeleton Warriors kind of look like Grave Guard, so I can see Grave Guard not making into Gravelords new book.

-Morghast, pretty sure these are going to be OBR exclusive

-Arkhan the Black, again I'm pretty sure he stays exclusive to OBR.

-Any of the Nighthaunt models that are in LoN Battletome right now I suspect will be moved to be NH exclusive. But I think we will still be able to ally with NH.

Pretty sure they've already alluded to Black Knights being in... whether or not they're the same model as currently however...

I definitely wouldn't say no to new ones but I just bought 10 and did some conversion work with the new skellies so I selfishly hope not. 😁

My bets on no anyways as I dont think they'll want to take away sales from those new and much wanted Blood Knights.  I mean they're not aelves or Eternals so I cant see them getting THAT much love. 😄

Not the hugest fan of those new skeleton models to be honest. The poses make them seem like teen girls posing for photos and I can hardly tell that they're skeletons with all that armor on. Controversial opinion, the "Heroic" style skeleton boys from way back when are superior. Mostly because they're the most "classic Saturday morning cartoons" skeletons that I've seen in GW models. They just make me happy.

Black Knights currently share a kit with Hexwraiths so I do not think they are getting a new kit.

I'm going to be really sad if they removed graveguard from our book, they're my favorite models to use as a centerpiece hammer unit that keeps coming back. Otherwide my lists have very little in terms of choppiness.

I don't see that happening. The new mounted Wightking goes in the same direction visually so I would expect them to stick around.

I would have to see a bigger unit. I think the poses might be working with a huge blob making them look more dynamic like they are staggering along.

We're back! Man, I don't realise how much I miss the place until it's gone. Aye, I thought that. To quote: "Soulblight Gravelords battletome just around the corner."

I was pretty confident it would be later in the year but this definitely points to a release soon.
