Iradekhorne
Hi boyz! In my group of play we have a discussion about how work this 2 habilities. The first one is the Grandfather's Favour. This is the plaguetouched warband, and the queastion is, how many MW they do in return? For example, the enemy unit attack, and they score two 6 at wound. How many MW the NURGLE unit return, 1 or 2? Is the same problem for Lord of Pain; If the LoP ignore 2 wounds with Share the pain, he return 1 or 2 MWs after all atacks have been resolved? If is only one, why the Daemon Prince changed via FAQ, only for change it to "melee weaons"? This is the old Wording: And this is the new one: Thank you for your help! 1 NinthMusketeer
Plaguetouched and LoP are bouncing back 1MW per trigger; as you noted when the number of triggers doesn't matter the wording is different. So if there are three 6's to wound against Plaguetouched 3MWs go back. If the LoP negates two wounds he bounced back 2MWs. Long story short: you have it right. This is the old Wording: And this is the new one: Thank you for your help! The difference between the two formulations, apart from the restriction to melee weapons, is changing "an attack" to "any of those attacks" which changes activation conditions for the ability: before it activated for each hit roll of 6, now it only ativates once even if multiple 6s to hit are rolled. So I would say that both the warband and the lord of pain can activate multiple times (in your example, they would deal 2 MW). However, I am not an expert on nurgle stuff, so I would wait for other opinions
0 EMMachine
In case of the Plaguetouched Warband it is one Mortal wound for each 6, because it is the result of the role itself. In case of Share the pain the main effect is negating the would. And after the rule only states that the target suffers a mortal wound when a mortal wound is negated (not for each negated wound) it is only one their. In case of the Daemon Prince it is D3 Mortal wounds if "any" hit is a 6 (which basicly means 1 or more) so it can trigger only once . The Point for the "Melee Weapons" is, that it is the enemy attack with a hitrole of 6 and it should only target on Melee Weapons not on ranged weapons (the bile wouldn't fly 18" inches to hit an archer unit what shot at the Target unit of Bloated blessing).
