Icefighter
Hello. What city would be a good place for units like eternal guards, shadow warriors, sisters of the watch and maybe some freeguild greatswords? Preferably no stormcast included. Gorthor21
The living city has all those things but does have stormcast but that is because the free cities sprung up where the stormcasts made footholds. Shouldn’t be too hard to read the portion about Ghyran (aka green) in the main Rulebook to come up with some suitable place or name.
Frowny
They can all be played reasonably with elves. I'd make some lists and try out a few cities and see what you like. That's one of the strengths of the book, once you have a list you like you can tweak it into many other cities. For example, Shadow warriors are great in most lists. But yes, living cities goes well for sisters of the watch especially, popping up and shooting stuff.
The Red King
To be fair yeah shadow warriors do their thing in any list. Sisters of the watch are easy to use in living cities since they dont count as having moved when they teleport in from the hidden paths but any list can also run them effectively as long as you bring a bridge of souls to teleport them though that can also be dispelled/unbound. Tempest eye is a good list for running those units as the warlord can get the +1 wound for all ranged units nearby trait and the greatswords would benefit from +3 inches to their move and +1 to their save on turn 1 for getting into position or surviving. This sums it up. LC and TE are really good for Wanderers, i switch between them depending on who agro I want ambushing to unsettle people. It also depends on build. TE does large screen plus large archer unit behind them. You want to keep drops low there as aside from battalion low-drops going first will be better. For Living City MSU style does really well so you can get more ambushing, more Sylvaneth or Stormcast allies if you want to go that way. DE are really good in the uh,.. DE list. I dont' play them but a local guy does a bravery bomb with his dark elves really well and man it's brutal and good. Phoenix guard are boring and besides Flagellant spam in Phonecium is more interesting
