The other is a mercenary warband, for which many models are used as sword and shield freeguild guards. it is not super competitive but it brings back nice Mortheim memories. Nice work! I was actually browsing through my Dogs of War collection (the unpainted part!) the other day and thinking what cool models some of the bits and pieces would make. In particular I don't currently have any Spearmen or Halberds in my Freeguild army, so using the Pikemen was appealing in the cases that I had a few over 20 models. Definitely got me thinking about what models I could use to make a metal Cities warband.
someone2040
So for those interested, I did a thing. As obvious in this thread, a little disappointed that there wasn't the whole suite of cards. Easily overcome by proxying, but I thought, why not just make my own cards. For the most part it's just plus or minus a few stats. So I did. I don't expect these to be balanced. If I cared more about writing custom rules for Warcry, I'd put more effort into figuring out how the rules writers are pointing things - but as it stands I only really care about these custom cards so it's not enough to get me invested in figuring that stuff out. So for those interested, here are all the missing infantry models from Cities of Sigmar (I also made cards for all the official models, but I don't know if I'll get in trouble posting them here). Myrdin
So I`ve been wondering if anyone made their own cards for CoS like someone2040 did, but with the full official CoS rosters and be willing to share them ? I find the carrying the book around annoying, especially for this faction that has so many profiles, and cards would make it much easier to navigate throughs since you can take just those you need with you. And making a photo copy from the book and cutting them out is kinda meh looks wise. So sad they didnt release card packs like they did originally. I have Beastmen as well and they too have many profiles to choose from so having cards makes the whole ordeal much easier to navigate through. Whenever I play, I'm always using cards. I'll see put a note in my TODO list to remake the cards with the official stats. I already have most of the infantry apart from the hero level characters and the cavalry options, so not necessarily a ton more work. And if by any chance you`d be willing to share them once done I would be much obliged. I enjoy running a mixed race CoS Army in AoS and I can see myself do the same with the Warcry Warband regularly since the mono race warbands are kinda lack luster. As such being spared to nonstop flip the pages and skim through them would be a great QoL I`d be grateful for :3 Edited May 31, 2021 by Myrdin
someone2040
Hi all, So as @Myrdin requested, I've made the entire set of Cities of Sigmar cards. The following links to a high quality set of the cards, that I've 7zipped (you will need 7zip to unzip it) to compress them. Please let me know if there are any errors you find, but this is the complete set (including monsters), This was a fair amount of work as many of the Cities of Sigmar units don't have good quality round-based images, so I had to do a lot of photoshopping to convert them to rounds/ovals. Hope you all enjoy. https://www.mediafire.com/file/xi4iabzfikkem8f/Warcry-Cities-of-Sigmar.7z/file Edited August 29, 2021 by someone2040 1 1
