Grugg
Sorry - relatively new player still. Played against a death army using VHDM spell. His army has an ability where if a spell is cast on a 9+(I believe) it triggers twice. With VHDM we ruled it as having no extra effect. The spell states a unit can pile in and attatck twice. Having this go off twice still means they can pile in and attatck twice. Conversley if the spell said 'can pile in and attatck an additional time' then this would work as it's adding to an existing number. Is this the correct interpretation of the rule? Thanks
1 El Syf
Locus of Shyish only works on spells from the two spell lores though right? So the Necromancer wouldn't get the bonus for Vanhels Danse Macabre.
0 Kadeton
That's correct - applying Vanhel's Danse Macabre twice to the same unit will have no additional effect. However, Locus of Shyish lets you choose a different target for the duplicated spell effect, so on a 9+ the Death player could choose two units to both receive the buff. Edit: El Syf makes an excellent point. Locus of Shyish only applies to spells cast from the Lore of the Deathmages or the Lore of the Vampires, and cannot affect Vanhel's Danse Macabre. 0 Grugg
Thanks both - good to know we applied it correctly. Sometimes the GW writing can be unclear or lead to the wrong conclusion, so you end up doing a mix of rules as written vs rules as intended.
Thanks
