More more warplead

gronnelg

Question

The ratling gun weapon team says you double the attacks. The ability says you double the attack characteristic. The FAQ says:

Q: I found the ‘More-more Warplead!’ rule for the Ratling Gun rather confusing. Can you explain in layman’s terms how it works?

A: Certainly. Normally when you fire a Ratling Gun it makes 2D6 attacks. The ‘More-more Warplead!’ rule allows you to double the number of attacks, as long as you say you wish to do so before the dice roll is made. However, if you say that you will double the number of attacks and the dice roll is a double (e.g. two 1s, two 2s, etc.), then after all of the attacks have been made and you have inflicted any damage that they caused, the attacking model is slain.

So do we roll 2d6 and double that, or 4d6?

It's 2D6 times two.

if the rule wanted to role 4D6 it would say so. As a comparion the other weapons.

Doom Flayer = More-more Whirling Death

Quote

... If you do so, roll 2D6 to determine the Attacks Characteristic instead of D6 ...

Warpfire Thrower = More-more Warpfire!

Quote

... If you do so, roll roll 2 dice for each enemy model within 8" of this model instead of 1 dice ...

Doom-Wheel = More-more Warp Bolts

Quote

...If you do so, Attacks characteristic for that attack us 2D6 instead of D6, ...

Warp Lighting Cannon = More-more Warp-Lighning

Quote

... If you do so, roll 12 more dice instead of 6 more dice for that attack, ...

All these Rules raise the amount of Dice that are thrown and neighter of them use the term "double the Attacks Characteristic.

If they wanted to roll 4D6 the rule would look like this

Quote

... If you do so, roll 4D6 to determine the Attacks Characteristic instead of 2D6 ...
