Those robes are my goal for today. 3 layers, so it’s all about finding 3x15 minuten spread out over the day. 💪 That's the way to do it! I find getting paint on a brush and doing anything, even small, builds decent progress!

Love the little veins on the membrane, too. Makes the whole thing look more real, which adds to the already twisted air of the model. Looking forward to seeing more! Ggom
Today was the start of model #2 for this month’s goal; a silver tower tzaangor. I have to say that these are nice and varied to paint compared to my usual fare of witch aelves and power armor. Things started off on the wrong foot last night when I decided to paint while tired - everything was going pear shaped! But I felt some mojo this afternoon and had another go and I think it will end up fitting in with his team well enough later. Still much to do!
Brother Mayhem
I'm going to do my Chaos army I think for this. I have mainly Slaves and Khorne, so most likely, I'll be bouncing from one to the other during this tale to make a mighty force. I'll pledge to play some games with my mis-mash force too. So for this month, I pledge... 1x Herald on Juggernaut 12x Bloodletters It's going to be a busy month for me as I'm moving during COVID. so I am hoping that I can complete this (I also have a bloodthrister to finish in the picture). If not, I'll complete along with the next pledge what is left over. Edited June 8, 2020 by Brother Mayhem

Good ideas, especially the hair, I managed to find some cool pictures of purple fading into pink so will give that a go. Sisters definitely seem the hardest but since I’m focussing on snakes mainly I was just going to do a single block of 30 witches and ignore the sisters for now

I have at least managed to get the wing membranes done on the khinerai I have to agree! Those wings are lovely! I've been holding off on painting my Furies because I'm not sure how I want to do the wings. If you'd care to share your knowledge and techniques, Senpai, it would be greatly appreciated. How'd you do it? 🙏
Maxi99
@Kamose There’s a fair bit of going back and forth but this is the general idea and steps: 1. Zenithal prime, diluted black wash and then a white dry brush over the top. 2. Airbrush glaze of naggaroth night over the whole membrane. 3. Airbrush glaze of blood angels red over the lightest areas to build up some of the more pinky colour. 4. Layer of naggaroth night into the V of the wings which was then feathered out. I had to repeat this a couple of times to build up the deep purple in the recesses as the paint should be really thin. 5. Another couple of glazes of blood angels red in the middle of the membrane, gradually getting more focussed on the middle. 6. Wash of Druchii violet into the edges to darken down even more. 7. Two glazed of Druchii violet over the whole membrane to bring everything back together. 8. Lastly pick out the veins with flayed one flesh When glazing I was using 1 part paint to 4 parts medium. Tldr; zenithal and sketch under shading then overlapping glazes
hughwyeth
My dudes! I've sort of finished the magister! It's one of those paintjobs that i was pleased with until I took a photo! I'll come back to it by the end of the month to tidy up, but here it is anyway! I also used the chrome pen on the disc and staff! Big problem with it- fingerprint magnet like maaaad! I will try and clean it after it's had a day to properly dry, otherwise i will have to go over it agin. 11

Kramer
Getting some momentum here. Ballista done, Crew blocked in except for the skin. Lord arcanum on gryph charger about 60% done.

You got the Soul wars one or the easy to build ones? The later are even longer to paint with those bases!

My scheme, makes it very easy. (for once). All black, gold edges (pretty fast to edge highlight although its a lot), purple handles and done. But yeah Soul Wars. The crew tho... those are a pain. Happy to see them and the Lord arcanum done. The Vanguard chamber carries a lot less trinkets and I rather paint fur than robes now that the deadline looms. 😂
Kamose
I've been sitting on these guys for week. The day I went to post these pics, the whole forum vanished! Oh well, here's my Beasts submission for June. My Beastlord, Tami Stronach. Some gors, including Fabio , the most beautiful gor. The "1000 Beasts" gor herd. Not sure what's next...

hughwyeth
Didn't think I'd get time to do a battleline unit as well but I now have a week off from work, so I've started on these Acolytes. I've started with a base shade using an airbrush of purple from below and a zenithal of flesh for the bodies, to be kept for all the skin. Then mid grey base for all parts and a little shading for the base to darken the edges.
hughwyeth
More spam! Finished 1 acolyte to test out the paint scheme. I like it! The last army being FEC, with lots of gore and blood, painting bright, colourful models is nice.
Tommy
Great effect on the shield! So do you mostly use washes to let the shading come through?
hughwyeth
6 hours ago, Tommy said: Great effect on the shield! So do you mostly use washes to let the shading come through? Shield is just straight blending with glazes. The skin is more glazes on top, but leaving most of the airbrush shading coming through.
