ogarrah
As I promised, all 20 of my bloodletters are now done. Overall, I think they look ok. Given that the flame effect is built up through multiple layers of dry brushing, they’re a little sloppy, but I think they look pretty cool on the tabletop. Unfortunately I had to try my hand on some free handing on the banner bearer and well... I really wish it looked better but with my artistic skill this is as good as it will get. Even though this wasn’t on my pledge, I went back and re did parts of my skullreapers, most notably the daemonforged weapons and armor, as well as the bases and some general cleaning up. I think they are now a worthy representation of my painting skill, and those daemonforged bits look awesome. My clump foliage finally arrived, so I slapped it on my Sylvaneth models. I like the effect, both as moss and leaves, but I decided to try attaching it with PVA glue because my scenic cement hadn’t arrived yet. PVA does not stick to them very well, but once it bonds it seems to hold on I also slapped together a nice little bloody objective marker with a spare 32mm base and some skulls from the citadel skull set. I also started to work a little on next months pledge. It may not look like much right now, but it’s going to look AMAZING when it’s finished. Overall this was a pretty good month for me, my GW shipment finally arrived, so I’m restocked on paints, and I can’t wait to get started for next month. With summer coming up, I should have a lot of time to paint. Edited June 1, 2020 by ogarrah Formatting mistake silly me
