Greasygeek
Lately I’ve been wondering if the Onslaught ability is being used to much? What I mean is that I rarely have a game where Onslaught isn't repeatedly used by both warbands. The same thing could be said about Rush though it is to a lesser degree than Onslaught. Is this just my playstyle that's getting to one dimensional or is this a common situation? Edited February 8, 2020 by Greasygeek
Pickle The Hutt
Onslaught is just better than most doubles (and doesn't care about value) so is probably too good. It really comes from GW undervaluing attacks (crits are so important) and overvaluing toughness/strength. In fact, I'd still use it over most doubles if it only affected one activation instead of multiple.
Balian
For SCE, « lay low the tyrant » double ability is better than Onslaught: +2 to attacks and STR for the activation against ennemies with 15 or more wounds. Now that there are lots of these 15+ W, it’s really usefull !
Baron Wastelands
I would concur that it is used a lot; but since everyone can use it, it doesn’t confer an advantage anywhere. It’s like Rampage, which is also used more frequently than most other quads. I think the universal abilities are intended to be strong, and the faction ones either more situational, flavourful, or restricted to individuals. Groomy
For Splintered Fangs, their double is used more than onslaught. Often same with Untamed Beasts.
