I thought the same thing. I guess because of the eyes or something, but it's more likely for Sylvaneth/Kurnothi or something completely different. Now if that owl would have sported horns .... . For lumineth I really wouldn’t put it past them to make a cow-owl.... a cowl. 1

elfhead
I think the owl is for bloodbowl. We already saw a bloodbowl freeman with a squirrel, so another Forrest critter makes sense. I’m hoping GW had something to put focus back to Lumineth for a moment when they finally get released. I’m afraid new40k will steal the spotlights te coming months and Lumineth will just get released, that would be a big anti-climax after the rediculous Amount of hype they build. Especially because the range already seems to be smaller than what was implied.

But whatever they do it’ll feel a bit anti-climatic if there isn’t anything new which is likely. They only thing left could be terrain. But, if they’d still have a cool video or something that’d be great.

Thaliontil
Well, as expected, this week has been almost exclusively 40K focused, so I hope that the next is definitely the pure-Lumineth (with, perhaps, an article or two about 9th edition, which is their main product, in the end) week. I really hope that we get a nice look at minis, alternative color schemes, more detailed rules than those in the WD and...why not keeping the flame of hope alive and seeing that non-named character and another elite unit? Acid_Nine
Honestly I want the book just so we could see how Lumineth society really is. I do not know if they are completely Spock like, trying to show no emotions while doing everything with logic, or if they are something else. I am thinking of a story, and It may be hard to write if there is no emotion at all with the armies!

Probably next week will also be mainly about 40K, but I do hope we get some focus on the Lumineth - and it’s finally their week in the first place ... . Don’t be sad if there is nothing else, both the WD article and one of the writers on Soulbound basically said that’s all we’ll get now in terms of units. 1 minute ago, Acid_Nine said: Honestly I want the book just so we could see how Lumineth society really is. Luckily when they had they talked about the Lumineth in the preview it did it sound like they were totally on the Vulkan trip. They’ll likely have that a bit, or a bit of a Buddhist influence, but it looks like they are still struggling with that. Will be interesting to see the details about that.

Gonna have to see how the novel does it to be honest, but I'm excited to see how it's done. I do wonder if the aetherquarts wears off over time and makes the Lumineth more depressive / volitile, or if it's a permanent effect. I know the Cathaller exists, but I have to see how it's done. I hope the novel fleshes this out a bit more... and doesn't turn into another court of the blind king bout of narrative dissonance between novel and battletome. Tiberius501
I’m expecting next week to be one of, if not both of, the last 2 campaign 40k books, and discussing 9th edition in more depth. I don’t think we’ll see Lumineth until later in the month, after the campaign books are all done. Oops I had spelling mistake there, I wanted to write it “didn’t sound like”. I agree, if they would be nothing but Spocks it wouldn’t be much fun. I don’t think that’s what it will look like, maybe only for some of them. I’m also really interested on how the aetherquartz effect is depicted and how the bonding with the elemental spirits works, and the whole Teclian culture. If the novel is very different, there will also be an RPG book which focuses on them in Q3 which should flesh things out.

Tiberius501
So there’s a potential leak that the last 40k campaign book and 9th Ed are coming out in July, so we may see Lumineth quite soon, possibly even next. So fingers crossed we get an article tonight about our pre-order next week.
BadgersinMeadows
Quite excited for them to be released. I have quite a few old High Elf units, Spire of Dawn being the source of most of them. If I counts-as my Reavers as the Lumineth Cavalry, put together the dragon princes I've had for a while, and with the Lumineth Box, that'll be 15 cavalry. 20 spears with the Sea guard counting as the Lumineth spears, and 10 Alarith counts as with the Swordsmasters. Are the Lumineth on 32mm bases? If so, I'll be alright to rebase them but the old models look a little small on 32mm.
Tiberius501
Looks like they will be on 32mm, yeah. To fill the space you’ll have to make some epic scenic bases!

Binks
Can't believe they dedicated a whole week to Aeronautica Imperialis after the shutdown. I know I'm salty, but can't believe many people wanted it, I was prepared for another 40k week but man, this feels bad, if the most unsuccessful specialist game is prioritised before Lumineth, it can take far longed that I hoped. They could at least release the army box and latter the army like they did with sisters 😢 Edited May 31, 2020 by Binks 2
Thaliontil
What I can't understand is the complete lack of articles/information not only on the Lumineth, but on AoS in general. I play 40k, and I love it, but even though you are releasing the new edition soon, shouldn't they, at least, save a couple of the 15/16 articles they upload per week to give something to players from their other main game? I know, right? at least discuss a tactica article about piling in or building Warcry warbands out of the underworlds warbands. We've been getting strung along since January for this army and we still don't know how much we're getting or if there is more. just give us a little crumble of information. Heck, something for forbidden power would be nice. This isn't Warhammer fantasy battles, people actually wanna play AoS!
