Very cool confirmation indeed!!!

Judging by that pic, as the middle one looks to be the existing kit, I think they will stay roughly the same size as the current Gargant kit.

Also, I'm loving the fact that one seems to be nautical themed, Ive been meaning to make a custom Troggoth Hag from the current Gargant kit but now I think holding off was a good move.

Definitely excited!!

If the ship in the Kraken Eaters arms is to scale, these guys are going to tower of the Aleguzzler.

I personally think these will be much larger than the current Aleguzzler. It will probably act as a cheaper battleline choice for the army (although they need to have the Behemoth limit removed, or somehow lose it for Aleguzzlers). Maybe the three Gargants seem in the teaser are either heroes or specialised units!

Oh cool! Didn't notice that was a boat.

Three new and bigger kits would be great pertaining to my Trogg Hag plans as the current Gargant is a bit smaller than the Forgeworld Hag.

They may just be Specialised Units!! And the kit allows for Standard Gargant builds as well.

i think all those large skulls we've been seeing on recent bases of other armies is probably a pretty good indication of size then. So yeah, much bigger.

100% agree. As soon as the Bone Mortisan was released standing on that Skull I had an inkling it would be a Gargants. And since then we've had many more, obviously leading to the Sons.

In all seriousness though this army is right up there now on my list of projects. It will be amazing to see everyones giant forces as I'm sure we've all got crazy conversions planned already.

I cannot wait, my dream army of over 20 years is finally a reality.

Battleline behemoths don’t count towards the behemoth limit I believe (this May be an FEC only rule but I do remember it being is an FAQ)

i assume they will recreate this rule or it’s already a rule

you can see each Gargant up close on the background during their intro page thought they are really faded.

pretty sure people with photoshop skills could enhance the image for a better view

I absolutely love the fairy tale style designs. Cannot wait to see the actual models as they will be monstrous.

Q: In a Pitched Battle, if a unit that is a Behemoth can be
taken as Battleline, does that unit still count towards the total
number of Behemoths that can be taken in the army?
A: No.

Found on page 11 of the Core Rules designer commentary!

Look at that! I knew I remember it being a rule!

its one of those rules that doesn’t come up often so a lot of people forget it, I knew it was the case with FEC (I have a small collection of ghouls) thanks for confirming it’s a rule across all armies, but perhaps one that is most important to the up and coming gargant strike force!

on another note, I wonder why they didn’t show us the HQ choices. I was surprised the king himself wasn’t shown first! (Wasn’t teclis one of the first elves seen in the lumineth release?)

I think they're saving King Brodd for later on, as the 3 Gargant types may be the only releases besides the King, it would make sense to have the centrepiece (centrepiece in an army of centrepieces) model shown last.

THey seem like a blast to paint, I feel the pictures are anything to go on they have lots of detail but the detail is so large that it’s easy to paint in sections. The large details are always easier to paint then small details!

my only fear is that due to there model size, if these guys aren’t Uber expensive points wise they could hurt the wallet a tonne. Definitely not an army that will be boring to build and paint! Tonnes of room for conversion opportunity as well! The names of the units give us a powerful basis for counts as. Simply create a title suitable for a giant and create a theme! Maybe your giant army consists of a troll muncher, a few mountain tossers, and of course a dangerous bone cruncher.

Troll munchers will obviously have bloated guts and a few mushrooms from there meal of choice, mountain tossers always carry there trusty boulders, and bone crunchers could have a bone in there maw savage Orruk style!

on top of this gargants are a monster you can add literally any detail to and it could work, goblin buddies (or snacks) on his shoulders, literally anything in his hand as a weapon, such as a huge tuna, uprooted tree, tooth of some other large creature. Even top hats work. Literally anything works. It’s the biological equivalent of an ork vehicle lmao. Just loot any bits from other kits and there’s is a way to make it work
