Smart-Clever Rat
Hey sneaky-sly rats, how do you play a 1000 point game? Here are some of my list ideas 1. Stormfiend Storm >Throt the unclean (general) >3 packmasters (one with whatever artifact you like >6 stormfiends with shock gauntlets and armor (can divide unit into 3s to defend while other three are buffed) >12 giant rats or 10 clanrats >12 giant rats or 10 clanrats This little gem uses the stormfiends' moulder keyword for some crazy cheese. Storm fiends now hit on 2+. Add another d6 hits on 2+ to hit thanks to all the packmasters and Throt buffing. Throt makes them pile in and attack attack again. Max of 336 attacks with 3+ to wound and -2 rend, each dealing 2 damage. Think about that, that's a max of 672 damage from a single unit in a single phase. Storm fiends now add 6" to run and charge rolls (max run is now 24"). Each has 7 wounds. Stormfiends make a wall in front of packmasters. 1 unit of giant rats/clanrats on each side to protect packmasters. They're just to keep allegiance and and fill battle line. The battle lines don't HAVE to be doing this though, if you want to split up.
Smart-Clever Rat
2. Skryre/verminus >Warlord (general with great destroyer and crown of conquest) >20 clanrats >20 clanrats >2 warp lightning cannons >3 stormfiends or 20 stormvermin set up the verminus stuff, then set up the skryre stuff in a flanking position. The nice thing with this army is the stormfiends' versatility. You can make them artillery to go with the WLC, you can make them a vanguard for the WLC, you can even make them tunnel around for some sneaky cheese. Just a basic build.
