Fisher KIng
Hello all, it's been a while since I posted here. My local group is all excited about Warcry and I thought I would post a couple of WIP. I feel with a small game like this it best to make your models as characterful as possible to avoid "guardsman with spear #3" syndrome. For years Mordhiem was my groups go to game and I loved kit bashing and converting minis for warbands. Really looking forward to making up a few warbands in the coming months. Any hope you like the pictures. Edited July 29, 2019 by Fisher KIng 6
Fisher KIng
In a vain attempt to evoc classic old hammer goblins I decided to do some free hand old style shields for these models. Not sure if they go....
Fisher KIng
For anyone interested this was my inspiration. Taken from my first ever GW product, White Dwarf issue 101. John B’s guide on shields 1
whiskeytango
These are looking excellent. I love those bases, what are you doing to achieve that look?

Lorax
I absolutely love your style and where this is headed. I picked up the unmade, but have a large gloomspite army, so I can see myself borrowing some of your ideas. Nice work!
Fisher KIng
Thanks man. I also have a more 'eavy metal style Gloomspite army, Heavy on the spiders but I thought Warcry would be a good chance to try a new painting style I've been toying with for a while. I have some Bonesplitterz in the big grey pile that I want to try after I finish this. I only get to hoddy once in a while so this will be a slow burn but I'm really jazzed for this. Thanks for looking.

Fisher KIng
Working on some netters because 45 points! I got the colours slightly wrong/different this time. Not sure if they will work with the others. We will see.
Fisherdwarf
Wow! The very earthy and "real" tones of the gobbos combined with the clear and almost cartoony shield emblems create an amazing image. You've got a very striking and distinct style with a lot of personality. This is, honestly, the best goblins I've seen.

Moldek
great work mate! The painting, posing and mood reminds me of the dark atmosphere of karl kopinski's black and white illustrations. I see you used the hobbit goblins as a base for some of your conversions, what other minis did you use?
