Latest WD pictures. Ghouls repackaged as stated before, new unit made of Vargheists and Crypt Horrors (one funny trick there to make 2 units in a box to 3 units in a box).

Silver Tower next. Now, what models will be included in there? Time for some new Tzeentch stuff to drool over and get excited about, or just an existing stuff packed up nicely. Changer of Ways give us small glimpse at the future...

I'm just looking forward to the hero collection. 4 or more awesome hero sculpts? Yes please. Never mind the Tzeench!

I am hoping it is much more than 4. Deathwatch lets you chose 4 from a pool of 10. I hope this is the same.

I would suspect that it is any 4 from a large pool. We know 6 are included in the box and there will be rules for at least 4 more existing AoS hero models.

A 4 hero party has been the status quo from HeroQuest to Advanced HeroQuest to Warhammer Quest.

Post on War of Sigmar:

https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/784

Hello everyone !!

We got this by a friendly raven :

summer campaign

-taking place in realm of life
-your battle results will be logged at a GW Web Station (the computer you order from when at a GW Store) to prevent skewing results like Eye of Terror did
-it will shape the setting when they write up future campaign books

general's handbook

-units have a model count cap (max 10 models, or 20 models, etc. depends on the unit)
-you can only add models in "groups" (no points for individual models. example: add 5 liberators to your unit for X points)
-book will contain points for all models, and they'll be included in battletomes going forward (i don't know if it's definitive, i couldn't tell if he assumed that was what's going to happen or if he was told by studio guys)
-army organization is a mix of force org from 40k and the point-tiers from fantasy. for every X points in a game, you can have up to Y heros/wizards/monsters, etc.
-in Match Play, there's the "Rule of 1s", in that 1s always fail, limit named characters to 1 per army, and units you summoned cannot summon other units that turn
-weapon upgrades in units won't cost additional points.
-some missions in the book that are styled like LotR games, where you recreate a major battle with each player bringing an army determined by the rules, and such missions will be included in battletomes.
-narrative will have a lot of cool stuff to add to your games. magic items for your heroes to wield, new Path of Glory for all armies, new missions to run, etc.

future models

-in the general's handbook, there looks to be new sylvaneth models shown. i would take this with a grain of salt, as they could be very well done conversions, but from what i heard, there are models of aelfs whose limbs are turning into branches and plants, and new updated treemen (not treelords, the treemen who are bigger than branchwraiths but smaller than treelords)
-concept art shown of allariel riding what looks to be a giant rhino beetle? sounds interesting, possible future model? only time will tell
-Slaanesh is not dead. Models are supposedly finished and they're waiting to get things ready (box art, artwork for future books, production, finding a time to include in the story, etc.) studios rarely release models the second they are done, there's a lot of prep work behind the scenes.

sales numbers

-. AoS is now roughly 30% of sales. 40k is still outperforming by a large margin, but AoS numbers are healthy. what to take away from this is that AoS will continue forward, it's here to stay, there's no plans to go backwards on it.

Use Salt of course !!

/cheers.
bob.

I have read the one about new bretonia.

And that got me thinking.

On a bit of fluff from the Flesh eaters, one of the ghouls sees himself with a tabard, and his Lord with a gold shining armour on his mighty steed.

Ofc this is conjecture but it could point for the direction of the faction.

And since the New Warrior priest has a robe, maybe the faction will be a mix of Empire wih bretonia like a crusader army to re conquer the mortal realms.

It would be neat if they did new and improved brets in the devoted of sigmar faction, right now they kinda suck.

I doubt they will re-release brets. They don't look Age of Sigmar in style. I wouldn't put it past them to release a Calvary heavy faction in the future though. Everything is possible in the Age of Sigmar!

Agreed, it will be very difficult to bring their particular flavour and style into the AoS setting. I wonder if they do release a cavalry heavy/only faction they will be descendants of Brettonia, or if there will be some kind of hat tip towards them in the fluff

I hope it's just a hat tip and not descendants. Otherwise it kind ruins the whole World that was being destroyed.

"Yea, Archaon destroyed the old world..... But everyone survived, so it's alright"

I have been thinking if we will see varanguard foot knights.

I would buy a couple of boxes.

When I have a chance I want to buy Archeon. I do hope they expand the Everchosen army a bit. At least a couple more elite units.

I'm not sure we would see them on foot.

I've always seen chaos mounts as a status symbol, and the varanguard are powerful chaos warriors, and their mounts show other chaos warriors that they are more powerful!

A new elite unit of chaos warriors on foot that aren't God specific would be cool though

The chosen could be improved since they are Resin :/

With grand blades.

I have been cheking the chaos Warscroll.

You have weapon option for grandblade and  no weapon to use. Unless you buy the resin axes and halberds.

And I dont like resin. Too weak.

Just saw that Sylvaneth picture and the only problem I have with it is the following:

.

.

.

I like it too much.

Staunch dwarf player from the beginning, hatred of Elves encoded into my DNA, particularly the willowy wood elves. And now I am looking at that picture, and the Treelord that I got recently, and thinking about how much I like the Dryad kit, and how much I would like to see treemen in the same aesthetic as the Treelord, and I am already working out how to get it all.

At this rate I may have to sell the house to free up enough cash to buy everything that I am liking the look of (currently buying Fyre slayers, will be getting Silver Tower, would love an Orruk army, would like to expand my Duardin, more Stormcast and Khorne would be good, the Stormcast Questor is making me think of the old Brunner the bounty hunter books and thinking about a gritty adventuring band who will do anything to strike a blow versus chaos, now Sylvaneth + elves look so tempting...)
