Euro price is 145€. So pound price should be a bit lower than 150.

$185 is the price of the nighthaunt battleforce which is £110 in the uk. That’s definitely on the pricey side. Assuming the two units are £35 each, the hero £25 and the the regular battletome is £25, we would have a total of £120. That’s not much of a saving. Would much rather have a regular book, no gubbins and the archers. That would make a good set.

Good news. If they release LRL, we will have SOB in a few, so that means... vampires are near too 😁😁

Has there been anything that even hints at soublight or a new vamp faction? We have a player in our group who would weep tears of joy and dance a jig if they were announced.

I guess it's because of the Nighthaunt pattern.
They were listed in "Legions of Nagash" and became a thing on their own later.

And Rumor Engines "seems" to point towards potential new Vampires miniatures ?

More like speculation than actual rumors tho.
But if the Death Alliance is going to have another army I would bet on either : Soulblight or maybe Vampire Coast ?

As much as I'd love to see Vampires, Ossiarchs are still less than a year old, Order has Lumeinth of course and Destruction will get Sons. That leaves Chaos unless you count the StD Start Collecting.

My guess is either a new Chaos army (Dwarfs please) or the multi-part Slaves to Darkness kits. With 9th 40k probably clogging the focus for the remaining six months, I reckon the next big AoS army will be previewed at Christmas like Gloomspite were and released New Year. Tthe very-possibly-vampire Rumour Engines could be hinting at a new army, but the very-possibly-FEC ones mixed in make me think War Cry and/.or Underworlds is also possible, especially when we're about due (if not for Covid) to get another season.

I think it will definitely be more expensive than this.
The limited ed battletomes are usually £50, dice approx £12, warscroll cards £20. There’s over £100 of stuff right there and doesn’t include any models yet.

Guesses on mini costs,

Eltharion - £25?

Cavalry - £35?

Infantry - £30?

Total that’s around £190 of stuff. More likely to be priced around the £150 mark.

(apologies, not sure on conversion to $)

Don't forget combat gauge.  Don't know what that is in pounds but if I remember right it's almost 50 bucks CDN (compared to all the free 3D printed ones I have hahahaha)

Here's my preditction for the future releases: (Dates are preorder dates)

20.6 -- Lumineth Army set

27.6 -- PA9 Pariah as that should be coming before 9th edition and it would fit into a 2 week cycle with PA7 and PA8

04.7 -- Rest of the Lumineth (normally as seen with the Sisters Army Set I would expect a longer delay but because of Corona it will probably drop here to make way for other stuff, same reason I don't expect them to be split into 2 weeks)

11.7 -- start of a 2 week preoder for 9th Edition 40k (this date and the 2 week preorder for release on the 25 has been rumoured in the last weeks)

18.7 -- either nothing to push 9th edition or some specialist game release (Necromunda, Underworlds, Warcry and AT all have stuff coming)

25.7 -- release of 9th so probably also smaller preorders to not distract from their main attraction

01.8 -- could see Sons here for release on the 8th but maybe a week later

Also stuff we know is coming but I have no idea when:

Specialist games:

Scions of Flame, DoK and Ironjawz Warbands, 3 Necromunda expansions, AT Defence of Ryza expansion, last Blackstone Fortress expansion with maybe a switch back to AOS Warhammer Quest after that?

40k:

Forgeworld Indexes, more Primaris and Necron releases (I think there was a shipping manifest for something new fo Custodes back in January?)

AOS:

Nothing confirmed to be coming expect the Aetherwar heroes to be released standalone but knowing GW that will probably only happen at the end of the year

Well yeah Ossiarch are still pretty new. But we had Nighthaunt and Ossiarch pretty close to each other so who knows ?
I agree that Lumineth are the "Order" quota.

For Destruction, as much as I'm excited for Sons of Behemeat, counting them as a brand new army like Lumineth and Ossiarch is ... painful to say 😢
I still hope for a real complete new addition for Destruction 100% AoS.

For Chaos ... I don't know. Thanks to Warcry they got so much new content to play with x)
It's hard to imagine a space for a brand new army in their alliance ... but who knows, chaos aelves / chaos stormcast or other thing can quickly happen xD

The reality is this isn't a regular battletome though. I'm not a huge fan of inflating the price of these boxes by including the collector's tome instead of a normal one though cuz lets face it the production cost for the two is probably almost identical...

At this stage we aren't even sure if there is a GHB this year - it might be a casualty as a result of Corona since I'd wager the prime time GW would have been making it was right when lockdowns hit and basically not only was their whole staff sent home (cuts down what they can do) but games as well ended for most regions so any data pooling or studies were gone.

Personally I'm fine with the GHB not appearing this year if that's the case. I'd rather it delayed until next year and is done well than rushed out just to save face this year.

If its on a manifest that means it has been at least been ordered for printing. So I can guarantee that there will be a GHB 20.

Now we could get that book in December 2020 for all I know, but we will get it at some point!

Personally I think it will be shortly after Lumineth launch or perhaps even during. A $35 paperback isn't really going to infringe upon new army or 9th edition sales. Its actually better for them to release it sooner rather than later because unlike the other releases it has a very specific (and short) lifespan of 1 year.

Now I'm not saying this is confirmation of anything. However I posted back in November of 2019, when I took a trip to the UK and visited one of GW's major brick & mortar stores that one of the employees and I got to talking about our shared love for Soulblight and Legion of Blood. He told me that there was internal discussions of a Soulblight specific army end of 2020 or sometime 2021. Now that doesn't really mean much, however he also mentioned of a faction/army that would be coming out in 2020 with models that were "giant" and larger than most anything else in AoS. With Sons being confirmed (and models shown) it seems that rumor was proven to be true. So I can only hope that there is a Soulblight army within the next year.

Makes sense actually. Last week I was on vacation in the UK and I was at one of their major store fronts and was chatting with one of the employees who asked what faction I played. I told him Legion of Blood and then I proceeded to talk about how I wished LoN would get updated and/or there would be more Vampire stuff. He told me that he has heard internally of a Soulblight related army coming out but not until 2021, which seems like a really long ways away but I don't know. He also mentioned some really big models coming out in the near future fr AoS. If there was a Soulblight related army coming out then I could very well see "Legions of Nagash" being phased out for specific Death factions and not the LoN "soup" as we know it.

Once upon a time I tried to make an all-vampire death army work. That did not go well for me....

HOWEVER I CAN RISE AGAIN FROM THE DARKNESS AND TAKE MY CROWN OF BLOOD ONCE AGAIN!

A club mate Alex spotted this, not sure if its been said yet:

"An acrylic combat gauge is perfect for those little measurements, from pile-ins and unit coherency to just how many of your Wardens’ pikes can stab that Bloodthirster. (Probably all of them! They’ve got a 3” range! That’s bonkers good!)"

So the spearmen have 3" reach

I feel the pain too! I like my Legion of Blood, but since they weren't super competitive I have turned to a Vampire Themed Khorne army. Now my Vampires spill blood for the blood god!

Yeah I wonder what it means for the future of those LoN.

At this point it would be pointless to update the Battletome 🤔

But that's good news for Vampires if it's true ! I just hope they are going to get the Nighthaunt/Gitz treatment with tons of cool new models for them :D
