If there are only 3 models in the Daughters of Khaine warband, it should be easy enough for GW to write them a set of rules for Underworlds too, right!?

Easy money, GW. One kit for 3 games. Just throwing it out there.

I believe they stated on the stream it was a full 10 member Warband and this was just a fraction of them.

Does anyone know which Grand Alliance a pure Sons of Behemats army will belong to?

Will they boost the ranks of my beloved Destruction? We need some really big boys to join our ranks.

They would fit our ranks perfectly!

Very good preview, especially Necron Boi and the shadow elves, BUT what is up with that one elf's bondage trousers...?

Guys I'm sorry I'm not letting this go, we need to talk about this.

Even Aelves have to air out the boys... know what I mean?...

Although I'm sure Aelven sweat smells like patchouli or something equally intoxicating.

You're asking this about an army where the core infantry basically wear bikinis and long boots and charge at you with whips

Also remember the bulk of the DoK army is female - so far we only know of Doomfire Warlocks being the only males on the battlefield for them.

Everything is Speculation. What makes it harder is that its clear GW was likely going to launch Luminoth and then at the same time or soon after launch the Giants. The whole shutdown has totally messed up any release plan GW had. So its very hard to make even logical guesses.

That said when you look at most of the newer armies, Luminoth already have quite a good number for a starting force. A couple of leaders; a giant leader; several mages; a working core of battleline troops (heck they've perhaps got 3 with infantry, ranged and cavalry); then some specialist forces on top. It's right now about the same sort of size release that we saw for Ossiarchs, Daughters of Khiane and a few others. So it could well be the end of the current crop of Luminoth.

Now GW might have something for 6 months time that they might advance forward to give them something more; they might have things for 6 months time that are now 12 months away etc... It's all very hard to guess at.

My gut feeling is that GW could even stick to the old schedual and just double up for a couple of months. Sure stock would be an issue, but GW is going to have stock issues anyway. Thing is stock can eventually be recovered from, esp since GW will have healthy sales. So for non-limited releases GW could just go into production and keep churning stuff out even if some lines remain back ordered for a while. It would let them stick closer to their original release plan; which is important as its likely several years set in motion; suddenly throwing three or four months or more out the window is a big shift.

As of right now, Lumineth would be the smallest AOS faction, next to the new sons of Behemat, at 10 warscrolls. The next smallest army currently I believe is either IDK or KO at 15 warscrolls, (So half again as large as the currently revealed Lumineth range.)

In terms of model kits, the Lumineth would be the smallest new faction since Fyreslayers (again excepting Sons of Behemat which are a fundamentally different kind of army). Lumineth currently have 9 revealed,  The KO, IDK and OBR got 11 kits on launch.

People keep repeating that what we have seen of the Lumineth is the same size as other new army releases, but it's never true. Above are the numbers to compare.

To be clear, I hope for more, but it is certainly possible that this is it. My point is that, number of kits/warscrolls as a basis to guess at range size actually supports the idea that there are more to come, not that this is all we have.

I am huge DoK fan and I think those models fit their model range perfectly. They're not rank and file troops, but Morathi secret hit squads. No wonder we didn't hear about them before , also the leader is pure Daughters of Khaine

- the part of the helmet with horns is Witch Elves design

- the Shadow Cloak form kind of snakey design - linking it to Melusai

It fits as Morathi elite assassins.

We don't know how accurately Age of Sigmar will follow End Times but don't forget that Malerion wasn't that hot on Dark Elves in End Times - his most trusted general was Imirk who was High Elf Hero and Alith Anar sided with him as well and acknowledged him as his king. I think Malerion's force could be only in part inspired by old Aelf design, but more inspired by Shadows, Dragons and Caledor design. Shadow infused Caledor Dragons would be much more interesting that Dark Elves 2.0.

It seems Morathi forces are more Dark Elven then Malerion's Aelves will ever be.

I can see Morathi going for more classic looks. Of all the Aelven who survived I think she's perhaps the one most rooted in the Old World. The others are gods with their heads in the clouds and looking for the future; she's sort of cheating to get her godlike powers and was corrupted and twisted. She's bitter and this future for her is torment where she's weaker than those she was once equal or stronger than. For her the past was better before the world ended and whilst the others clearly are sore over the loss of their people; they appear to have moved on quite considerably.

I thought Alith Anar shoot him with an arrow? Not familiar with the lore just heard it somewhere.

That shadow elves look really cool. I like the old dark elves and their assasins.

Nope Alith Anar shoot Tyrion down saving Malekith’s life. Malekith as always lost and someone had to bail him out.

I'm seeing some folks suggesting that this latest Lumineth model is the last reveal for the "current" release and we won't see more for at least a year or two, while others are suggesting that there may be more kits coming. Is any of this evidence based or is it all speculation?

As someone who said it sounded like this is it. It’s just speculation based on several things:

  • Mainly the preview yesterday. At one point they said “we have seen the models”, “just want the Lumineth to come out now”, to a very specific question about if there is more.
  • They haven’t shown or hinted at anything else that we haven’t seen yet. Before we always had a glimpse of something else. That hasn’t happened since around a month now or so , when we first saw Scinari Cathaller
  • All the rumour engines clearly connected to the Lumineth have been revealed now

I personally hope though there is more. As mentioned by people above, the kit would be small, and not only that, it would miss out quite a lot of options (war machine, flying monsters, flying skirmish units, generic hero on a mount).

Besides that, you can argue that there are still one or two rumour engines out which could be linked to the Lumineth, and in the background of one of the photos we might have seen an endless spell.

Above all, GW hasn’t confirmed or denied that this is the full range, and some people interpreted the conversation yesterday exactly opposite to how I understood it (as more of a proof that there is more to come).

So there is no real evidence either way. The lowdown tomorrow (if there is one) could already make all this obsolete.

then again there was that full pan shot they did of the whole army on the battle cow gameshow video and it had every unit reveal so far along with Scinair Cathailer.

it that video was meant for Adepticon and realmlord should have been release by now, that could just be the whole range right there. I doubt they had time to edit that video to hid more units for the online preview

Yup, for me that was included in "we have seen everything that has been hinted at so far" (the picture is somewhat cut off, so it's possible there are still a few things left though, like endless spells or something. That's something they could have done even with the time restraints). It would have made total sense if all those three previews were meant to be together at Adpeticon, that at that time - they showed us the rest of the range, including the Mountain Spirit as the big surprise, and then promote the starter box which they'd have released soon thereafter.

But it's still speculation, because it hasn't been confirmed by them yet. Right now I personally think we have seen everything for this release (besides maybe endless spells), but it's still only speculation on both sides. I hope there is more though, lol.
