New rumour. Gutbusters anyone?

This is Ogor - 100%. The last rumour engine was also Ogor. My guess is either a Shadespire release, probably 3 models that double up as Maneaters, or a single hero to go with a new battletome.

The last one was the elven runes that are present on the Harlequin bases... I’m not convinced that’s Ogor related.

@Eshking

This has been posted a few pages ago and identified as a Reddit user's wishlist.

Just for the sake of clarity

1. It is originally from 4chan, not Reddit

2. It's not a "wishlist" it is (supposedly) tournament player feedback submitted to GW

And, to be clear, the points don’t reflect the forthcoming GHB.

Do you happen to know anything about Beasts of Chaos points? I'm hoping they do something to make Bullgors, Ghorgons, Cygors, Gors, and the various Monsters of Chaos more viable. The only competitive list right now is Enlightened spam...

Interesting, looks like it could be the lower blade of a fairly symmetrical double-edged sword or perhaps big spearhead. The attached gubblins do match those on the ironjaws blades and some of the ogre ones but can't really think of any weapons that fits that exact profile.

Nope. I generally report what I know.

Sorry I don't have more for all the other armies.

I'm assuming that player lost to a Thricefold list...

Yeah what a bizarre list of points changes for Nurgle. It's always funny seeing these points change wishlists because it's really clear that on a smaller local level, the meta is completely different from city to city, country to country. Nurgle are non-existent in our tournaments and they just cannot compete against almost any other recent battletome army. Thricefold is the only competitive list in our local meta and even then it's pretty low-level and basically never played.

Just my 2 cents on the topic

Thricefold is a very strong list, and last year it definitely seemed like GUOs were undercosted compared to many other big monsters. I recall a lot of comparisons between GUO and Bloodthirsters, and calls for GUO to be raised to 400+ points.

There has been significant power creep since then - after the 2019 books and the errata on spellportal it seems like Thricefold is strong but in-line with other powerful lists.

100% of all the blades of ogors have only one cutting edge. So I don't believe it's Ogors even though I would want it badly.

*disclaimer only as 100% in the same manner that @NorthernNurgling guess is 100% certain ;)

I think the ‘problem’ with Nurgle is that it’s pretty well balanced and appropriately costed so you  always feel like you can’t quite get all the goodies in there. Thricefold doesn’t leave much room for anything else, which was fine in 2018 when a GUO really was that immovable hunk of undying rank fat but I think a pair of Terrorgheists or a volley of Skaven shooting could blend 2 in a battle round nowadays.

If you think about it, isn’t a Verminlord Corruptor just a better GUO for 80 points cheaper? They’ve got to come down a bit as the top players just aren’t taking them.

Ironjawz aren't exactly festooned with double-edged blades either, though, and the attachment point is much closer to what various Ogor weapons have.

Mournfangs, Ironguts, and Tyrants all have weapons with those riveted wood pieces on the side, I don't recall a single Ironjawz weapon that does. Ironjawz weapons also tend to look more like great big hunks of steel, while Ogor weapons are typically a bit more restrained like this. Covered in teeth but otherwise usually not as outrageously proportioned.

Given the proportions of the weapon, I'd say this is some sort of Spear or Glaive, which leans a bit more towards Beastclaw than Gutbusters, but it doesn't rule them out.

Speaking of errata, what is the general time between a new products release and its errata? I'm hoping to get some solid answers on the new Legion of Grief.

The recent trend is that a physical army book release gets an errata issued somewhere within a month of release.  If you go back for the last couple years the trend is roughly 1-3 months after release.

Yep.

Their points are going down almost across the board in the new GHB, including 40 point drops for the larger vessels, Khemist down 20, Skywardens back down 20, Thunderers down 10, as well as other similar tweaks. They should be very playable moving foward.

More significantly, I had previously said they were coming this Spring with Sylvaneth - I clearly got my wires crossed on which duardin were being refreshed this Spring (given the Fyreslayer tome). KO book is 6-9 months I would guess.

Other significant news includes the three new command generic command abilities include reroll 1s to hit, reroll 1s to wound, and reroll 1s to save. Sounds like we'll all be capped at only 1 additional command point (purchasable for 50 points in matched play).  Dok took a hit, but it wasn't tragic (Hags at 90, etc.). Interestingly, alot more points adjustments by 10s instead of 20s (eels up 10, etc).

That's all I have right now.

Anything on other battleline options for the KO?

It is too close to call for either force to be honest.  Neither army really uses double-bladed weapons.  You are correct that Ironjawz weapons do not have hilts that bolt onto the blades.  They typically appear to be designed so that the blade/head of the weapon slots into the haft and then is usually leather wrapped - or else it is simply forged as a solid metal piece.  The Ogors have more weapons that are a  blade that has the haft bolted on.

However, when I look at the blade itself for the weapon it does not appear to be forged by either Ogor or Orruk.  To me it appears to be a weapon that is either stolen or taken as a trophy from a fallen enemy and then was fitted into an Ogor/Ironjawz weapon by getting a new hilt and having various choppy bits bolted onto the weapon.  In the past for Warhammer Fantasy both Orcs & Ogors were prone to taking enemy weapons as trophies.  Ogor models often had human shields & weapons bolted onto stuff as trophies.  Orcs had the most notable example with Gorbad Ironclaw carrying an Empire Runefang (the Solland Sword) that he took off the corpse of Count Eldred during his invasion of the Empire.

My guess is that this is going to be a character hero model of some sort.  I would not be surprised if this is a single hero model from some sort of 2-force box set similar to Looncurse or Carrion Empire.  The next GHB is supposed to have an expanded section for Ironjawz, and I would not rule out 1-2 new warscrolls.  I don't think that is necessarily likely, but doing that would probably give them some breathing room and give the army more legs so they can do a bigger update further down the line.  But at the same time, it seems likely that GW is going to make a combined Ogors army book similar to what they did for Skaven and since they did not mention anything about them for the GHB preview I suspect we will probably see that book this year.  I would not be surprised if they made a 2-forces box set with Ogors VS *insert other force* and slotted a new hero model into that box for each force.  That said, the Ironjawz model range is very good and I would not be surprised to see them stick those models into a 2-forces box also - especially if they do a good update in the GHB.

So I can honestly go either way on this one - but it is obviously either Ogors or Ironjawz.

I think that has more to do with some of the Verminlords being undercosted (most notably the Warpseer)

I'm curious to see how thay will be assigned to Heros. Maybe all heros will be able to access all those commands abilities at anytime, but this make many heros useless and most super cheap heros powerful...
