Not strictly an AoS rumour, but perhaps heralding in some more destruction love (hopefully). If not, hopefully it provides some good conversion pieces for greenskins. I guess you could do an underground grot theme, with caves of spiders and squigs. Would be a good move to buff up the grot battletome roster and not leave poor Spiderfang out in the cold (who get a SURPRISING amount of lore time for a 3 unit army...) Honestly this seems sensible and a good way to expand the roster in general but then so did the Scourge Privateers being incorporated into the Idoenth Deepkin and that never happened. Granted that was a completely fresh faction but it depends on how much of a clean break GW wants to make and how distinct the new visual language of the models will be. One thing in favour of it though is that the Arachnarok gobbo shaman is the only goblin model anywhere near as mutated/bodily-modified as the Fungoid Cave Shaman, with his four eyes. The new one is very rounded and does look a lot like the bug on the cave shamans staff. I think it's possible we have 2 very different things here that they are trying to make look similar. All signs point to Slaneesh and Moonclan. Out of the last 17 or so rumor engines, over half of them could easily be moonclan and several look Slaneesh. After we just finished our Ghyran table we are about to start working on a Shyish option andaset of intact walls could really provide some building options. Since GW is trying to push realmbattles as a thing it makes little sense that all official scenery still availeable is reduced to Warscryer Citadel/Skullvane Manse, Arcane Ruins, and citadel woods. Great pieces but unless you go and buy a ton of each your building options are pretty sparse. Our Ghyran table put a lot of money into various aquarium stores.
