Have I just not seen an updated warscroll for so long that I don't know the lingo anymore? Reminds me of Warcry stuff. Same thing they did with the 40k instructions rules. Its just Range, Attacks, To Hit, To Wound, Rend, Damage, as normal!
Enoby
Not sure I'm a big fan of symbols instead of words for rules; I mean, it's nothing terrible, but I don't think it really adds much and just looks messy on the page. I feel like this new obsession with iconography in place of text is some secret Machiavellian revolution by their translation teams.

novakai
just Necromunda and the rest of the Sister of battle stuff for next week, no online preview for the rest of July unless their an announcement tomorrow
PrimeElectrid
No preview next week, but both sisters and necromunda up for preorder. Does this clear the decks for SCE abs owt the week after or do we expect other releases? It’s usually alternating 40k/aos/specialist games isn’t it? I really dislike using symbols like this. Just feels like now I have to learn 2 things instead of 1 thing for absolutely no discernable reason.
KingBrodd
Was hoping for an Online Preview but ah well. Perhaps theyll wait till mid August to drop one, right when they release the rest of the SCE and Kruelboyz ranges? Let's not forget tomorrow we may yet get a look at a new Stormcast Drake!!

Acrozatarim
We should probably temper our expectations wrt when the AoS battletomes and miniatures will release. All GW have committed to is a preorder some time in August, which could be anything up to the final weekend of the month. If stuff does come out sooner I'll be delighted, of course.
novakai
supposedly it to come out after the AoS Bets App is launched which is probably the same time Warhammer+ is release in late August.

Enoby
What do people think the chances are that, moving forward, AoS 3 full warscrolls are no longer free? By the looks of the new warscroll, the abilities aren't present in the box, and none of the new warscrolls have been added to the site or in a PDF download. Of course, it could well be that the lack of warscrolls (and new points) on the app is because the new app is coming out soon and so the old one has ceased production. It may also be that they've decided not to include a downloadable PDF on Dominion as it's a temporary item and the rules may change, so adding them would be a waste of time and possibly confusing. It could be to save on translation cost that the warscroll abilities aren't added into the box, or they are but on a different page. And it should be mentioned that BR Kragnos models had their rules given freely. But assuming the new app is tied to a subscription fee to get any functionality, if they stop adding PDFs to the site and full rules to the box, it will suck. I think many people (including myself) enjoy theory crafting by looking through warscrolls we haven't bought yet - using free rules as a potential new army planner. Most buy the battletomes anyway for allegiance abilities and points. One of the hardest things about starting 40k was not knowing what any unit did unless I made a £25 investment beforehand. It made me much less willing to branch out into other armies. Hopefully AoS stays with free full warscrolls!

Honestly it is my biggest fear regarding AOS and Warhammer+. The ability to look at Warscrolls freely was a great source of joy and helped me become interested in different factions. I loved looking up units in my friend's armies and getting a feel for their units and sending them warscrolls from my own army to explain complicated units. I can understand wanting to lock that information behind a paywall of sorts but it overall hurts my overall excitement and interest in the game personally. 6

Which Warbands do you think will be present? I think Kruelboyz are a safe bet. I'm hoping for some Kharadron and Skaven alongside Ogor Mawtribes or an updated Mancrusher model!! It seems that Underworlds is a bit of predictor for where the focus shifts (Shyish to Ghur), I would suspect/hope next would be the realm of Shadow. For warbands I would like to see Kruelboyz, Stormcast, Dispossesed, Spiderfang, Mancrusher/Maneater, Unmbraneth, Eshin, Tzeentch (Ogrid Thematurge) 2
