August will have two teams for Underworld, probably a 40K follow up release of Nercrons (big release) or Primaris. Next Sunday they will preview even more 40K mini's and maybe all the seperate Lumineth sets? I hope I am wrong, but I don't really see a release slot for the Sons in august. I dont think they will release until September.

They don't want anything to mess with the 40k 9th edition release, so putting a new faction out there, even for AoS will probably take some time. Next week we will have nothing interesting to preorder, and the week after might be some of the other new models for marines and necrons, which will be quite big releases, maybe over 2 weeks at least. We know 2 warbands for underworlds are for august, but an optimistic approach would say Sons late august, but it would make more sense with the last 2 weeks og august being Lumineth and warbands. Shearl
I've said it before, but I can't see them slipping the Sons in unexpectedly. They're a new army and will spend time hyping them up, and I doubt they'd want to sneak them in amidst the 40k hype. I know the delays have been unfortunate, but I think its important to look at the big picture of releases. A ton of new stuff for 40k players The rest of the Lumineth Brand new AoS army I think most specialist games, and Warcry have releases in the wings There's a lot of cool stuff coming. LuminethMage
I really hope that they won't wait until September to release the rest or at least more of the Lumineth. Sadly, you can't do anything much with the units in the box, even if you buy multiple ones (I have 3 of those) to increase the points value, without using proxies. Because the Lumineth are build too much around a combined arms force, and a lot of the mechanics and fun are connected to the Scinari Cathallar (or in the Alarith part of the Lumineth). They'd only have to release two additional models, the Sentinels and the Scinari Cathallar. That would be sufficient to play with something resembling a working list. The rest (Mountain faction and Teclis) could wait until they find a good window to release them. So why not release the SoB together with the Sentinels and the Scinari Cathallar? : )
Neverchosen
I feel that Sons will release with the appropriate amount of fan fair but being a smaller release window (so far a single new release), so I feel it will have a shorter dedicated period than Lumineth had. I am curious what GW's intended release schedule would have been. Would we have Sons by now and be waiting on the next army... or would we even know what the next army would be in light of 9th ed. releasing. Clearly 40K takes priority right now and considering how good last year was for AOS releases I feel that is fair. Clearly something deathly is coming soon but as people have already posited it could be Warcry/Underworld/Quest related. This lull is a little dull but I have truly enjoyed the combination of speculation and wish listing that this community has been developing over this pandemic.
NkfPanda
I am really hoping for an updated Legions of Nagash tome similar to Cities or a new Soulblight army. I have time as I am focusing on my Deepkin and KO but I really would like to get into a Death Army at some point but the minis for the Bonereapers don't do it for me. Here is hoping that even if the models we have been teased are for a skirmish game something is one the horizon (or nightfall tee hee).

Incineroar87
With the story campaign slowly heading towards Gordrakk and his eventual siege against Azyr. You recon we will see another Orruk army / more Ironjawz + a new Stormcast Chamber around then ?
Black_Templar_Lad
That would be nice to see. Orruks definitely need their lines expanding. Maybe a whole new faction or just expansions for Bonesplitterz and Ironjawz, either would be great. I loved someone's suggestion (sorry I can't remember who said it), of bigger but dumber Orruks. Reminds me of the big Beserker Trolls from Warcraft, think that would fit nicely.
Scurvydog
Ex Profundis made this fellow with a conversion from primarily a Megaboss and Ogroid Thaumaturge: https://www.exprofundis.com/orruk-backbreaker/ I love the look of this, the rapid growth of the Ironjawz just gone wild, beyond a Megaboss and just going completely feral. This could be either a bruiser sort of like a Dankhold troggoth in size and relative power (on a conceptual level). It could also fill a role which is becoming increasingly needed in the meta as a bodyguard unit, protecting weirdnobs and warchanters by absorbing hits, maybe even becoming more enraged and dangerous (like Fyreslayer doomseekers), making it riskier to attempt to spell snipe those warchanters and neuter the whole army (thanks warclans book!). Oh well, wishful thinking and probably won't happen. The conversion here is just so evocative by itself and springs all kinds of cool ideas! 1

Gistradagis
Alright, everything is being updated and fits the leak for sure. Overall, the StD changes feels like a nerf except for Archaon lists. So, uh... not sure I'm super happy about it. On the other hand, Petrifex has finally bene fixed! Now they re-roll 1s to save against melee. There were points for Bonesplitters in a GHB before the first Bonesplitters battletome came out a month or so later (whichever year that was - 2017?).
