JPjr
Definitely interested in getting ahold of new updated rules for Aerial combat games. Looking forward to seeing what they’ve done there, the bit in last years core book sparked my imagination for some really fun narrative games and was a bit gutted to see nothing more come of that. It makes much more sense to release Shadow and Light Elves, and maybe then Sylvaneth BT with Kurnothi in them as an expansion. Well, if "woods" are all that makes them connected to Sylvaneth then there are other examples of unnecessary armies. We don't need anything naval or airborne as those positions are already covered by Idoneth Deepkin and Kharadron Overlords. I think there are a lot of redundant undeads since Legions of Nagash... We can go with this list. Kurnothi might be entirely different army both in terms of gameplay and design. Gameplay being fast and missile focused and as we saw from the Warband mix of animals and elves rather than trees and elves.
cofaxest
It's so sad if to be honest. Even dice set is not included... Looks like GW is not interested in KO at all.
Murder Pancake
There might be something that hasn't been revealed yet; they do have all week long. In the meantime, I'm going to go foam at the mouth for multiple sets of dice. They're delightful.
Kirjava13
It really is obnoxious how inconsistent GW has been this year wrt Endless Spells and faction terrain. Is your army getting a book? A new hero? Some redesigned units? Some new units? Endless Spells? A terrain piece? Dice? Who knows? They just make it up as they go along! If I were a Kharadron players I would be disappointed. It's nice to be 2.0 compliant, and I wouldn't turn my nose up at a new hero, but... they got pretty shafted compared to a lot of other factions. 1 1

It will be interesting to see if Seraphon gets more. I am very curious what 2020 will bring with now almost all the current battletomes updated. Barkanaut
Told you Tzeentch would get more. I dunno if I said it here or in the KO thread but point stands lol. We still didn't get any Kharadron Ovelord dice. They also get endless spells and we only get one new model. Great, my hopes for the book are lowered significantly.

As a KO player I look at the bright side..at least now there`s a chance that I may get warscroll cards that aren't obsolete before I get a chance to open the package. I also play Orruks so no terrain or spells is no biggie, its just all part of playing the "red headed step children" armies of AoS 1
Overread
Hey DoK haven't had any shiny spells or terrain and have done just fine for all of 2.0 so far It's not the end of the world. Though I appreciate the lack of new shiny toys is a dissapointment. Still you DO Get a new leader in a nice starter duel set. Plus you can put your army on the table now and not auto lose! Mandzak-Miniatures
I feel that it was a missed opportunity to do a single upscaled brinstone horror or duo still cool we got more spells though!
GeneralZero
So, after mid january, only ONE missing battletome ? That leaves some space for many things during a whole year of 2020 😎🤪👍

The difference is, there is an expectation of DoK, IDK, Nurgle and LoN being at the bottom of the pile as far as updates go, as they had releases just prior to Age of Sigmar 2.0, and are all pretty functional as the game stands (or even still very strong if one talks about Daughters). A faction like the Overlords was released, then in short order nerfed into the ground and then, a year later, almost completely superceded in terms of game design. To then get none of the extra toys a lot of the other factions got is... well, it doesn't look good.

That said GW might focus back on to 40K or who knows what else. The 1st of January event should let us know more.

In terms of armies, going from Whitefang's info, it seems we can at least expect the Hysh elves and the all giants faction. Then going off the many other hints, we are still missing the Grotbag Scuttlers (who are already named and have lore) and the Shadow Elves who seem to be a given as that realm is still very mysterious. That's four new armies alone, not counting anything out of left field that didn't have a lot of established lore or only tiny hints like the Bonereapers. Not sure if we'd see all of those next year, but I think we'd at least see the elves and giants.
pseudonyme
Sad that the Tzeentch terrain in the video seems to be a custom one. This game lacks tentacles...
Gecktron
Judging from the preview picture, the Navigator got +3" range and +1 to-wound on their pistol. Hopefully that isnt the only buffs he got.
ManlyMuppet88
I’m actually really pleased that KO don’t appear to be getting endless spells - Duardin don’t cast spells! Khorne never should have got them either. I’m not a KO collector though so I can still see how it might sting a little. 3 1

Overread
KO could easily get short term tech that works like a spell. Drop-pod mech - a powerful mech that runs on a short term engine that burns out after so long. Dropped from a fearsome height by a high flying specialist airship so that the mechanical monster is delivered right into the heart of battle where its needed most. Backed up with insect repair swarms; little wind-up robotical insects of insane design quality from the Age of Myth. A rare and expensive creation that can repair most of the KO units and machinery; patching them up to full health. They can't bring the dead back, but they can at least keep the living alive.
