This is not really correct.  With little one-off games, they simply dodge that question, or use double speak.  This is how they handled Speed Freeks, etc.  They never specifically say "yes this is going to be a primary game system with continued support" of the reality is going to be otherwise.

War Cry is sounding less like Kill Team for AoS, and is sounding more like a weird (and cool) hybrid between Kill Team and Necromunda.

The warbands mimic the concept of the Necromunda gangs, and apparently you can even "level up" some of your guys.  On the other hand, being able to use many of the already existing factions is very evocative of Kill Team - as well as the board size and terrain setup.

Yeah, I think this is rapidly becoming a game I am really looking forward to

This is what I would like to see it as. Makes sense when if you think the setting is Chaos warbands going to the Allpoints in a semi pilgrimage/call for power from the Gods/Archaon.

For me, the ONLY interesting thing in the Warcry box (I'm specifically speaking about the box, not the game) is the bundle. If they load it with tons of terrain and many superb minis, maybe, yes maybe, I'll grab one box. Otherwise, the max for me is the rule book only if it is good. I already have terrains, tons of miniatures and space. I don't need more mini that won't fit anywere. (to be honnest, even if I grab a box, I'll resell all but the terrain)

In few words: the box must be killteam-like full of plastik!

This is not true at all. Underworlds has been a huge success. They just announced its third season. Bloodbowl has been a huge success. They just announced the twelfth plastic team for it. Adeptus Titanicus has been a huge success. The only game that could be said to be doing somewhat poorly is Necromunda.

A lot of people were sceptical about the amount of support underworlds would get. Now we are guaranteed to be getting a minimum of 26 warbands.

The biggest complaint about Killteam is that there are two many expansions as we have had 5 in less than a year.

With Warcry we are guaranteed the six chaos warbands and nine additional warbands. That's already one more faction than GW ever made for Mordheim.

Necromunda is also doing perfectly fine, there's plenty coming in the pipeline including even more plastics, always a good sign if a specialist game is still being supported by GW with the effort and cost involved in plastics.

Those sound fun for narrative and campaign games!

Agreed, if I had a gaming group or regular opponent with whom a narrative campaign could be pulled of I'd be all over Forbidden Power. Which I'd guess is actually the primary target group for Forbidden Power.

It's just not a very large group (and not a very purchase happy one, I suspect) compared to matched play, so they tend to throw in mp content into everything to boost sales.

There is a huge margin between doing fine and beeing a huge success. To date, the only huge success is kill team. Some others are doing fineg, in fact just a handful of them in a bunch of dozen launched in the past. None has become mainstream.

In the past, the only ONE that did that was the only ONE that GW stopped because they were afraid that it vampirized 40k: it was EPIC. (And for me, the best GW game of all times). That is why they don't and probably won't add tiny models of tanks and infantry to the Titanicus line, leaving it as a side game (not even a pure GW game, they labelled it FW !!!)

I've heard rumors of things:
- Duradin "Harvest Queen"
- New legion of Nagash; "legion of despair".

Anyone know what this is about?

The  Kharadron are there- maybe a title  for a new female character... [desperately hopes].🤞The Admiral appears to be called Bryge [maybe a version of the irish  Briege ?]

In what way is Underworlds not a huge success?  It's had tons of releases, tournament rules/packs, and has drawn in lots of non-wargamers to the fold (card gamers, board gamers, etc).  I'm sorry, but I think your perception is a little skewed on this issue.  Cynicism is only healthy in moderation.

I think Shadespire have 2 things going on that makes good sales:

1- If you like some models of a faction but dont want a whole army, it is a good option to get a few models.

2- You want alternate sculpts for heroes/troops your faction already have.

I barely play Shadespire but i got a bunch of warbands myself.

And on what exactly do you base this statement ? I mean, everywhere we saw tournaments and championships for WHU - it seems to be a way bigger success in the community than Kill Team (which itself is receiving amazing supports, so it sells too).

Anyway, IMO you just really seem still angry at Epic's ending, and that make you look at the various GW games in the wrong way : you have to discriminate between in-house boardgames (like that flying Drukari games), licensed products (like AOS Munchkin), boxed games (like Speed Freaks or Space Hulks), and Core Games - which are either Citadel (like Warcry) or FW (the so-called Specialist Games of Old, like Necromunda) driven, cf. this picture :

Also, Warcry is said to be a new Core game. Maxime Pastourel and NINE other designers worked on it, that its bigger project since Death Guard (a huge range, right ?). And it's really a new IP, with new models coming after the 6 war bands (the designers said they will do more, for other GA, after the initial releases).

Damn !!! They're teasing us really hard !
As much as I'd love to see Vlad back, if I remember correctly, he's dead, right ?

The ancient evil is definitely the shape you see in the background here.

Also, can we just take a moment to realize that we're living a very exciting time in terms of hobby ? At least on my end, every release gets me really excited, and I have yet to start an actual AoS army because so many great things are likely to come !

Has anyone deciphered the lettering or runes on the imprisoned one's forehead?

They aren't any Earthly language I recognize. Is anyone here familiar with the letters of any of GW's imaginary languages? Could it be Dwarven, Elvish, or Chaos runes?

They're not familiar to me and logically they could be imprisonment marks made by Sigmar.  But now  you've magnified the face, it seems very feline to me, like a puma or panther.

I flipped through a Khazalid reference I have, and it does not look like Dwarf runes.
