Azamar
Gunhauler done! This conveniently takes my painted KO models to exactly 2000 points, right before the next GHB comes along and stuffs it all up again! Also a WIP of Brokk, who’s starting to come together

Lowki
Finally!! First part of my goal this month is done, and probably more important, the first miniature I finish in years! You could say a small step for mankind, but a giant leap for me. When I look at the photo's now, I still see plenty things I missed, or could use some rework. But still, given my average at best painting skills, I am quiet happy with it tbh. I like to think of Ogres as brutal creatures living in a world of ice, steel and fire. So a lot like BCR, a little less like Gutbusters, and even less like most of the man eaters . Worn outfit, rusty armour, nothing fancy or shiny...that's what I like about them. I have less with the gore and blood that is usually also an important part of their theme. The reason I choose the more classic grey/khaki skin colour is twofold. First of all, like I said in my previous post, I bought this army years ago around the time the newer kits like the stonehorn where released, and although I never finished anything, I still have quiet a few half painted ogres with this skin colour, which was at that time common skin tone for ogres. So it makes sense to continue to use it, rather than I have to re-paint the rest. Apart from that, I simply like this skin tone more than the human skin tone that is more popular these days. I like to see them as monsters rather than just fat, ugly human beings. And to me, this colour also feels a better fit in the picture I have in mind of them. Just a personal preference of course. Part 2, Stonehorn underway. Edited June 16, 2019 by Lowki 4
Praecautus
Great stuff everyone, keep going. Some work in progress on my skull alter. Still base coat right now. Going to take a while to do the brass trim.
kaaras
So, despite much procrastination and logging a ridiculous number of work hours, I did get this lot done. The chariot is complete and looks ok. Not my finest work but it will do. One way: Or another: Something a bit different I worked on this month. My brother gave me an idea to kitbash some 40K Nobz into Ard boyz to give some variety to the unit. So here are some Ard Nobz... Or Nob Boyz... hmmm and a bit lower: As always, any comments are welcome. I did just push up my model count for completion of this project tho... damn.
lare2
Just noticed this thread. Think I'll get involved next month 👍 Got excited by contrast and decided to finally get my Nighthaunt up and running. Aiming to do 1k first along the lines of the following tester model. Azamar
This month’s pledge is complete! Really pleased with how Brokk has come out, although an error when gluing has left the left hand guard sitting out of place. Oh well. Going to be painting mostly lotr stuff for the next few weeks I think, but I’ll be back when I return to AOS projects (probably more overlords) 4
Skreech Verminking
And I’m finally finished for this month. my last 10Stormvermins are finally painted and ready to kill-kill for Queek. and as a bonus I somehow finished painting my chaos warriors as allies for my Boc army. ThalmorRepresentative
Is it too late to join? If so, I'll wait for next month :).
flemingmma
4 more grotlings for silver tower (they're all painted now only like 50 more models to go in that one and a blightking using some contrast paints and some traditionals for the metal on the weapons/big shoulder spike. Really liked the contrast for yellow, made it rich and i didn't have to build up like six layers to make it pretty. also good for cloth

The one I didn't complete was painting up the battleline options - although as my pics show, I've got the main colours down on them. Sadly time commitments and the weather both consipired against me to get them actually completed 😕 (WIP pics in this thread)

AGPO
So I didn't get round to making a pledge this month, since I was away on holiday for a month, but I do need to post the (almost) finished minis from last month's pledge. 4 bloodthirsters and Scyla. I'm waiting to do the flames until I get my hands on Contrast paints, which look amazing for wet blending.

So my pledge is to do two, stretch 3. 1 build awesome base for Brokk Grungsson / paint brokk* 2. Build church tower terrain 3. Finish last Skaven (except for: thanquol) 4. Convert thanquol base / paint 5. Convert and paint 5 chaos warriors & 2 chariots 6. Find and paint 10 daemon slayers/hearthguard bezerkers * which I got this morning from my awesome girl in response to me proudly declaring I finished painting all my KO... I don’t think she knows how clearing backlog in this hobby works 😂 Probably won’t find the time for the pictures, so this is mostly for my own record. 1. Waiting on scenic base to built from. Did assemble and did first base layers 2. Basic structure done. Just need to pull the trigger on how to represent a meteor strike through it and order the stormcast endless spell to finish it off. 6. This turned into s very fun (and time consuming) experiment in blending contrast paints. 5 slayers down. 6 to go. One slayer standard bearer added to stand in as a runesmiter. Lowki
More or less finished the 2nd part of my contract yesterday. Still have small things to do. For one, I am hesitating if I should add snow to the ogre, it is a bit scary as I have little control over it, and hard to remove afterwards.. And the Tyrant I finished earlier: .
