DerZauberer
Hey mighty TGA Community! I've stumbled upon this Desert Terrain Piece on Warhammer Community. This is the exact type of stone i wish for my desert terrain, especially the very bright, nearly orange type of spots on the stone. Sadly, the article only explains how to do the weathered bronze and i just cant find any colour recipe that immitates this type of "orange" sandstone. The picture and the article is from june 2017 and im eager to achieve the same desert stone effect. Maybe someone here has any ideas how to achieve that? Thanks in advance! AxolotlQuestions
I'd say it's probably a heavy wash of seraphim sepia over Zandri Dust
MitGas
It actually does say how to do it (under one pic in the ruinous powers part): Masonry: Tallarn Sand basecoat, Karak Stone heavy drybrush, Ushabti Bone heavy drybrush, Terminatus Stone drybrush The washes are not stated but looks like it's Serpahim Sepia.
Lucio
If you want a really orange sandstone, then instead of Tallarn sand, start from Doombull Brown or Ratskin Flesh. You can also try washing the early stages with a 50/50 mix of Sepia and Fuguan Orange
Swooper
Looks like Reikland Fleshshade rather than Seraphim Sepia to me. 1
Drib
Well I was thinking it's more like Cassandora Yellow over Palid Wych Flesh and than heavy dry brushed as Mentioned above
