But only cause I was going to "finish" my slaanesh army this year and GW keeps releasing more awesome and insane models that I have to buy to add to my army to make it even more awesome In truth though those are awesome models the pair of them and its great that, even with a recent Tome, Slaanesh is getting a little something from them (even if its a pair of big somethings). On the other, to release it when we so recently received the battletome...I don't want to encourage behavior like this. We need to move away from releases like this and what LRL have experienced. I love the model; I am sure it will be a powerhouse built to sell. But a single model release doesn't fix our current issues within the battletome, and will not earn us any favors when we drop our third new toy in 2 years onto the table across friends playing Cities, Fyreslayers, or Flesheaters. The reveal article uses "they" to describe, uh, them, so it's safe to say they're non-gender-specific. If this wasn't obvious already from their androgynous forms. It's probably due too their release schedule getting wrecked by covid but it still leaves a sour taste. The models themselves look fantastic, I didn't think you could out keeper a keeper but here we are. I just hope these greater-greater daemons are better than the keeper. I don't expect these two to be cheap in money or points so i'm worried the voice might end up seriously stepping on glutos' toes. The talon has no real competition for combat monster (because the keeper is neutered, shelaxi sucks and sigvald has the reliability of a condom in a teenagers wallet) so i just want them to be a shredder who won't have to worry about getting wrecked by a stiff breeze. The melee-centric one is probably going to have rules that make it a blender, and may or may not buff Hedonites in combat. The spell-casting one is going to be more similar to a support specialist, with spells and command abilities that benefit Hedonites, and also debuff or damage enemy units. Let us all pray for the Slaangors, they might become good! On the gender of the twins? In my mind it doesn't matter, despite Slaanesh being gendered as a he, it's been a thing where Slaanesh appears as the thing the person wants most, so if you really only care about hamburgers, Slaanesh would be a hamburger, literally, if you are into dudes, Slaanesh would appear to you as a dude, if you are into women? Well, slaanesh would be a woman. In the story where the silver knight encountered slaanesh he appeared as an innocent young boy. In the case of Synessa, the avatar would do whatever it takes to corrupt you, so whatever you call the creature won't matter to it in the slightest and I doubt their other half would care either since Dexcessa seems to only care about slaughter, murder and domineering over others. So in my mind it's pointless to try put Slaanesh daemons into a box, for example the Herald in broken realms is they, while Syll is she when referred to in her story.
