I really hope they start doing some Celestial Warbringer characters and upgrade kits

If you want shields and shoulder pads they already do https://www.games-workshop.com/en-PL/Stormcast-Eternals-Knights-Excelsior-Upgrades (I don't know why they are called Knights Excelsior Upgrades).

If you want some items like magical books, lightning-like trinkets etc. then I agree it would be cool to see that kind of upgrade packs.

I already use these! My entire stormhost before Sacrosanct has them, and I hope they start making them for Sacrosanct - they don't quite match the shields, sequitor female sized shoulders, and Evocators

There are so many erratas in these two books, and the KO ones happened 3 months after it came out... And still msrp's full cost!

That point needs to be hammered home and stated publicly regularly. How is it remotely ok to sell a known defective product at full price?

I am hugely supportive of the new GW, but that is a big negative on them, in my opinion.

I kind of like them, though this particular Stormcast looks like a Deadite from Evil Dead:

I'm sure it's just the angle/lack of a paint job, but all I can think of now is "SWALLOW YOUR SOUL! SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!!"

Haha that’s just one reforging to many ;)

I'm smelling a blank week at GW shop 9_9

I wouldn't really say that its just there's nothing really coming out next week for AoS apart from Mollog's Mob and the Godsworn Hunt which is more a Warhammer Underworlds release and then the next week will probably be Genestealer Cults for 40k or something. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least a little bit of a lull in AoS releases between now and whenever Carrion Empire comes out considering we just got a huge Gloomspite Gitz release.

Flesh Eater Courts battletome in that time frame along side (or very near) the release of the FEC vs Skaven box.

Why do you suspect that? Khorne vs Slaneesh was teasted in August. didn't come out til December. Who knows when they'll finally get a book.

40k Tooth and Nail came out months ago too, they have a couple new GSC models, book still not in sight.

Everyone wants their battletome to be released next, but the fact is that there are about 8rumoured/expected to be released this year  (not counting new factions gw has up their sleeves). Some of those might not even happen, but some that are will have to wait until fall....

The community site is already showing previews of new models and rules - this book is getting announced in a week or two.  I would not be surprised to see pre-orders hit as early as jan 26.

I'm told It'll be the 26th, GSC book is going to be in this week's Next Weeks's Preorders. Though this is coming from a guy who's info is vague and he might just be making guesses and getting it right sometimes and some of the vague predictions still haven't hit their time yet(remaining plastic kits will get round bases this year and new battletomes for old armies). This is the most specific info I've heard from the guy and will probably help me decide if he's legit of full of ******. He said that GSC will be last weekend of January for preorder and that FEC would be out in February along side their new box. The closest the guy got was Soul Wars. He's said that there's going to be a new box set and general narrative, but he also said the the core rules were getting a small bump with some clear up, and general errata and FAQ inlined, but it didn't seem like a new edition, maybe a 1.5. But in fairness, the new rules don't say anything about the edition number, and if you read the first and second edition rules next to each other, you might think the later is a clean up of the former.

I think this is a pretty easy prediction to make.  The Community team has followed a pretty concrete formula since last summer.  Once they do an article about an actual unit that includes a rule - it means the book is just about to go up for sale.  Saturday marks the final release wave of new Gloomspite models.  The preorders for this Saturday are all for Specialist games - which seems to regularly be used as a sort of padding or palate-cleanser between major system releases.  GW this week is just finishing up a large AoS release, so they are going to shift gears for about a month to 40k (insert Genestealer Cult army release) and they are fitting in the obligatory Specialist Games release.

I expect that after roughly a 2-week release cycle for 40k Genestealer Cults that we can expect another specialist games release (probably either KillTeam Arena or something for Blackstone Fortress) and then the question is what do they do after that?  My guess is that it will be Flesh Eater Courts vs Skaven box followed shortly by the Flesh Eater army book.  But bear in mind that I have no inside info and I am just guessing.

Blackstone fortress has it's first expansion on the way, it seems to be a very small release with only a couple of models in the box, so maybe it's that. But then there have been a lot of 40k previews over the last few months and the expansion was shown only a couple of weeks ago, so maybe not, might  be a bit soon.

So we are getting a reverse update? Perhaps we are going back to having silly rules in the warscrolls!  fantastic! haha

Hello there people! Haven't been around for awhile, so I was wondering if someone can summarize all active rumors and what can we expect from the upcoming months for our beloved hobby? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think the problem is that because they are using a white background, they don't look quite right. Also the image with the female heads on the Stormcast bodies looks photoshoped to me, which is why they might not look quite right.

Part of the problem is that they have never really had a dedicated team for Fantasy/Age of Sigmar. It's only recently they've started building a team but it's only a few people so will take a while for us to see things.

Funnily enough, a couple of my friends were at the Warhammer World Open Day and said they saw the rules writer that was previously advertised as working for the AoS FW team working at the Specialist Games table. It also came up in a conversation with the 40k guys, which started with beating the dead horse of questions about Fires of Cyraxis, that all 40K and AoS work is now centred in the main studio, with everything else (Heresy, Lord of the Rings, Necromunda etc) handled by the Forge World Studio.

Obviously it's all speculation as there's no concrete statement from GW but it seems there isn't a AoS team anymore in FW for whatever reason.

Thedra has a new keyword "god speaker" which suggests a new unit for std. Same thing happened with Zarbag's Gitz and madcap shaman / loonsmasha.

I love the FW heads, both because I like the sculpts and hopefully it will be a sign of more FW products coming.

Regarding the price keep in mind two things:

1. It's Forgeworld, it's gonna be expensive

2. You're not supposed to replace all your heads with them, sprinkle them around or use them for heroes

I have as little inside information as you do of course, or even less, but what you say makes a lot of sense to me. That seems to be patern indeed, if you look back for the past 1-2 years, with some exceptions. A bit of a guess if the skaven/FEC box will be followed by FEC Battletome (and maybe some new models) but thats what most ppl seem to expect to benext

They are falling into one of the things that killed fantasy. There are still armies with no books and books that need an update.

If theres a another rule change so soon it may make newer books obsolete then there will be more books that need doing.

When aos 2.0 came out they should have done what 40k did and release aload of temporary updated books for most of the armies

I doubt anyone will ever know, but I wonder how many people have gone off the idea of starting AoS because they don't know if the army they like will be forgotten about. I know I would be more hesitant to buy models if I thought my army would never be blessed with a battletome.

I don't know about those who have gone off and will never return as customers, but it certainly acts as barrier to some looking to get into the game. Both those who have old collections waiting to see if they are valid once more and those who are new, but who like the look/theme of some armies. Heck take the tried and tested staple of a dragon in fantasy. Currently the only Order army with a Battletome that has a dragon is Stormcast - none of the Aelven dragons have a battletome!

That said it is being solved and each time a new tome comes out I certainly see people look up and pay attention to the game! GW's plan is working its just slow, made slower by the fact that unlike a new game, AoS already has many models out there. I'd bet it would be different if AoS was a totally new game with no legacy models and the rate of releases would then seem like an insane speed (which it is of course and it feels like that now, but many are still "waiting" for the speedy release to get to their army(ies)
