I think the Bull is for Darkoath/ Slaves to Darkness. Fits the muscle/anger/darkness barbarian aesthetic.

It was pretty disappointing overall.

We knew of rogue trader and Orks due to leaks. No grots, no slaves to darkness, not even a peak at new stuff for new season of underworlds.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but usually before a big reveal there are some official teasers. Like the Morathi speaking videos for DoK, or the fish for the Idoneth etc. I think that except the rumour engine and LLV's rumours, this time we had few things that pointed towards a reveal for a new faction.

Well, i am happy that they at least included a slight tease for things to come. The fiery bull "screams" brayherds or/and chaos dwarves and it is maybe the first on a series of clues as to what we should be expecting to be revealed soon.

Jeah. As a Destruction player I am disappointed as well. Sadly no Destruction/Moonclan reveal. I sadly also got myself hyped up.

I don't even play Grots and have accepted that Ogors won't be getting anything in a while, so I decided that I am rooting for the Grots, even though the greatest thing would be new Ogor miniatures. But we Destruction players need to stick together.

So I am also disappointed. The Endless Spell also doesn't look like it could be anything Destruction related. At this point I would be happy if we simply got a new battletome so I could get anything to get excited for. ?

I am still happy for the Death players getting something at the start of the year, because they have waited longer than we Destruction players have, but in the end I still feel a little disappointed.

Surprised there's no fantasy news from FW, I'm guessing that this means their new sigmar team must be very new and thus we might not see anything until next year at this rate - a shame but was hoping they might have sneaked a few hints or pre-design stuff.

LLV, any explanation for this disappointing reveal?

Wow wait a minute.

LLV never said there would 100% be a Grot reveal today : he said that, given the fact the army is coming this September / Fall, there should be news between this WHF-EU week-end and Nova Open in 2 weeks.

More precisely about the seminar, he interpreted something from a WhatsApp conversation, which Thebiggesthat, another trustworthy rumormonger, interpreted in a different way : so there was never any confirmation of a MASS reveal for AOS today.

Frankly, I did not expect anything on AOS from WHF after Soul Wars.

Alas It's clear GW shifted focus once again on 40k with Kill Team and on Specialist Games with Adeptus Titanicus...

---

I'm still glad we saw that intriguing Fire Bull endless spell (Chaos Dwarf ? Chaos Undivided ? Beastmen ? Another "generic" Endless spells set ?).

I expected that with its season 2, WHU would change setting : the "Nightvaults" name is interesting. Still sounds like a Shyishian underworld !

What I'm more excited for is the Nurgle Rogue trader band, and above all the Nurgle football team : great Marauder / Warrior conversions ahead, and as Lady Atia announced for Blood Bowl : PLASTIC PESTIGORS ❤️

EDIT : apparently the day is even done yet ; the live blog is still updated and I'm wondering if we'll see anything Middle Earth related (but the new logo...)

Sorry for confusion, I didn't mean to demand something from him.

I was just hoping he could shed some light on the change of events.

What's that flaming bull, for example?

There's also strong hints of stuff coming in the fall - which makes sense. There's Orktober, AT and such releases coming up and chances are we'll be seeing Genestealer cults end of this month (since Spacewolves  took the first slot I'd wager preorders next week are cultist codex and models).

I kinda hope that the bull is a generic endless spell - would be nice for (nearly) everyone to get something!

Kinda funny that up until just a moment ago everyone was "grots, grots, grots" and now it's "beastmen, chaos dwarves, what???". Well played, GW. ?

I don't think it will be generic. I'd wager that the hint as to "who this is for" makes it very specific that its for a faction. Which makes sense, GW released the generic endless spells in the big box and balewind; now its time for faction specific ones.

A bit sadly it seems that they might be focusing on new battletomes gettnig the first wave of endless spell releases; which might mean that even recent BT factions (Idoneth and Daughters) might have to wait a long while to see theirs and earlier BT factions perhaps even longer.

Starting to think they changed previews on purpose

Well we only had rumours as to what was coming and some of them were very weakly linked to the comic (and lets face it it is very unlikely GW will use the comic to hint at the future every time - they did a sketch with ogres and we got nothing ogre).

Well the designer mentioned more 40k codices coming too. By that he means more power armor emperors children, world eaters, and night lords lol. There was a vague "and other factions too" thing whatever that means. Probably more power armor and imp soup then lol. The only interesting thing is the ork models shown and I don't even collect them.

Maybe the spell is for a completely new Destruction faction? ?

Ah. No. I shouldn't get my hopes up again. ?

Well I could think about only 2 factions that could use that spell: Legion of Azgorh and Brayherds.

I think the bull is most likely going to be for brayherds. We herd a lot of rumours after all

That would be good, but fire and bulls are symbols of Babylonian Pointy Hats.

there we are then, a new faction - the legion of Brazghor.

Fiery bulls, Pyromaniac stunty sadists, pointy hats,  cloven hoof nutcases... its all good.

Rules of GW seminars are:

- there can be only one at an event, what will be shown there will be everything new there is to show,

- expect unexpected, or something which was at least partially uncovered,

- most of all do not build your hopes and expectations towards something in particular as big disappointment might happen,

- try to enjoy revealed stuff, even if you are not going to collect it, few years back such seminars was something average hobbyist would love to happen ;)

Overall these are great events but it is very cautious to not build too much hope towarda certain reveals to avoid being disappointed. Been through this, so can relate, I know what you are goong through ;) (Darkoath Queen reveal - weakest one for me personally)

This time around:

- Bull is such a horny and totally on fire piece, me want!

- BB team - please bring Pestigors to AoS!

- totally not 40k player - but for the glory of Mortal Realms or Gorkamorka himself, I do need those Speed Freeks cars in my life!

Can't  deny i am a bit disapointed as well. But also have to admit I did it to myself by getting so hyped up by just some rumours.  i guess after all the big releases lately i got a bit greedy for more, even though i am not a grot player nor intend to buy some.

having said that. did anyone already spot any  of the open rumour engine hints so far on the new reveals? By the looks of it at least some of them seem to fit the rogue trader models but havent found any exact match yet.

Well I think I am going to take this event and NOVA collectively.

Here is my review of part 1 as a primarily aos player.

First the positives

I am not particularly a fan of the aesthetics of the endless spells, but the bull is comfortably the best one yet. The idea of a new beastmen/brayherd/darkoath army is intriguing.

The imperial side of rogue trader looks cool and they should make good conversion fodder for free peoples armies.

It was nice to get definitive confirmation of season 2 of warhammer underworlds.

I had no interest in 40k orks until I saw those vehicles. They are absolutely awesome.

The negatives.

Just one aos mini, no minis shown for underworlds. No concrete info about the next aos Army and nothing aos  from forgeworld. Too much nurgle! No Delaque warband.

This can all be redeemed if we get a full Deepkin style video for the next aos Army at Nova. Throw in an underworlds warband and the Delaques and we will have had a pretty awesome two weeks of previews

if they go this route it would be a very very old school chaos feel again - which is a good thing and a very clear separation to the armoured tin cans factions.

Yes but it was only a guess based on some info from somewhere else .

That's the thing about rumours - they can be wrong ;)
