AoS Super League 2019 @Marc Wilson Team Event - modelled on the Champions League of Football/Soccer has kicked off in style. Initial round features games between players from the same club. An exciting new format and a way to spread a tournament over a year. Hobby Corner On the hobby front, people are building up new armies esp. Nighthaunt/SCE/Khorne. Ben Savva’s latest commission finished off Alex Kew’s Stormcast: Craig nailed the Ad Mech Robots with some sweet conversions. Conor’s Tzeentch: @Age of The Erstwood Ben Savva finished painting Leo’s Dreadwood commission: I’m painting terrain for the terrain god, but also painted a first 10 Space Marines #WolfyWolf and some filthy Dark Angels too, as well as assembling a #GoatMeta army. Our sector based campaign is going strong. People have written compelling narratives for their forces and customised their forces. 8 forces are taking part, with a mixture of full sized, Skirmish and Kill Team games. John and I are heading to the St George’s Champion in Telford (27-28 April). Bloodbowl Rob Bradley managed a commanding victory over Matt’s Chaos Dwarves to take the trophy! Slipshod, the Rat Ogre, wondered why he was being taken to a tour of a smelter. Bloodbowl is such an amazing game! New players are very welcome! Warhammer Underworlds (Nightvault) We had a great time at the recent tournament - kindly organised by Matt from GW Croydon. I’m loving the Fyreslayers compared to the Blood Reavers - much more my style. The bans and restrictions look really good. Malifaux Another fun game: Necromunda Simon Fro is leading the charge and starting a campaign soon. I’m doing Van Saar! John’s Escher took on Matt’s Orlocks for a second time.
