I was planning on painting my ogors a light blue, but yours are stunning... Cheers and keep up the nice work! AJ Sure! I'll see if i can recall without my recipe book with: It's rakarth mixed with a bit of the fang. Then shade (not like a shade wash but painting in recesses) with a bit more fang in the mix. Then wrk up to pure rakarth. If you like mix rakarth with some ivory to get highest lights. Mix proportions for cooler results. If you want it warmer I've previously mixed in bugman too. Urauloth
You've got some excellent minis here! I really love that Stonehorn, particularly. I'm super impressed by the basing on your BCR army as well, those are some of the nicest winter bases I've seen. Do you happen to recall the colours and processes you used? I'd like to try a similar thing, if you don't mind.

Turragor
Candyrot are very nearly at an acceptable 2000 points army level (10 plaguebearers to go) and beyond that I've a few ideas for expanding and giving myself more list variety! The pretty boys are just waiting on my shelves right now: 7

Turragor
Doing some endless spells to sorta match the nurgle theme Might add another colour to the tips, a bit of nearly rainbow flame.
Turragor
Working on a handful of chaos warriors while I wait for new project inspiration (spoiler its those new gits I bet) Banner is 2nd freehanded banner in my life and the best part is it is totally spontaneous and barely barely related to my candyrot (whom inspired the colours for these slaves to darkness) Edited December 29, 2018 by Turragor
Turragor
2019 progress so far. Bit of variation: Prime still WIP Base done though Candyrot not forgotten Edited January 13, 2019 by Turragor
Moldek
Wow great painting! I like your style, very bold and a lovely contrast with the grim appearance of the models. Does it take you a long time for each model with all those highlights?

Yes I guess I take longer than an average painter on an army. Probably 4 to 15 hrs from base coats to finished model. For Candyrot. Depending on the size of the model. 4h for plaguebearers, 15 for drone. The guo was more likely 40 hrs + or so. Hard to tell given I only paint 1-2hrs most evenings so things take weeks or months I can paint faster than I think I do as well, sometimes surprise myself. All Nurgle painted so far took from Jan or Feb last year until, well, now but other projects were mixed in.
Turragor
Restored the celestant prime fully now. I like the celestant prime without wings look. I've never restored such a complicated model before. For those curious, I bought him so:

Turragor
Pretty much complete. Soon I'll have my double drake lists tested! Better pics another day.
Turragor
Some extra stormcast were added during the year... but 2020's project is going to be OBR. Here is my latest test model: I want to do 'em quick and I'm going dark with a very bright desert like base. It's quite different from everything I've done so far!
