Edition WHFB and wanted some variety, to paint something else, to my Stormcast Eternals Project. The home of clan machi is a parasite engine in shape of a giant molerat, called “mole two”. The leader of the clan is an arch warlock named Ratskit Ironclaw, who led his clan with ironclaw. His clan fears him, and nobody tries it to get his positions by intrigues. There are rumours that he is invincible or has strong regenerating abilities, since he was fallen battle or was assassinated multiple times but came back every time, to the unpleasure for the one who wanted his position and paid with his life. Others say, that Ratskit was a Packmaster of clan moulder before he started as an Warlock Engineer and has much knowledge about genetics. Only Ratskit himself knows the truth that is hidden deep in “Mole two”. One of the most known battles of the clan is there involvement of corrupting behemat in the Scabrous Sprawl and the fight there against the Celestial Vindicators. When Ratskit realized that Behemat would fall, he evacuated his vital troops from the battlefield and escaped before his precious parasite engine could be crushed by Behemats massive body. Skaven Warlord, Zrik Nightclaw Quote Zrik Nightclaw had lived in Clan Machi for many years and had experienced a lot in his life. Like many other Skaven he was also reached by many intriguing and betraying his rank up to the rank of a Stormvermin Fangleader. Even as a clanrat, he had heard the rumors that their clan chief of the Arch Warlock Ratskit Claw had fallen several times in the battle or by assassinations, but had always appeared again, and decided not to make him an enemy. After his previous Warlord Throk had attempted to assassinate Ratskin in a battle against Chaoswarriors of Tzeentch. Ratskin, however, was not impressed by the stab in the flank, and crippled Throk with his halberd. Ratskin had noticed that Zrik had seen it, and gave the order show his loyalty and end his superiors life. Thus Zrik was able to rise to the rank of a warlord, keeping Ratskits back free in many battles and developing a special bond. The darkest hour for Zrik was, when Skrekch the Fangleader of his bodyguard, overcame him in a diversion within "Mole two" and downed him, because this wanted the whole clan to itself. But instead of killing Zrik, he was captured by Skrekch's supporters. Skrekch had to face Zrik before the eyes of all Skaven to secure his position as clan chief with his cruelty. The plan failed, however, through the appearance of the deadly-believed Ratkin. This came as "the last betrayal" into the Clans history, since after this case no one more dared to question Ratskin's leadership. After this incident, Zrik was patched up by members of Clan Skryre and Molder, but this did not happened without marks. Zrik is partly bloated by the operations, has swellings carried away which probably no more will form back and lose much of his fur. For this reason, he is no longer able to wear his armor as normal as would be normal for a warlord. These limitations, however, have not altered his belief in Ratskin and instead made him more cruel and carries his scars and swelling openly as a reminder of the incident. Meanwhile, he also cast an eye on Sret, the new Fangleader of his Guard, who was then appointed by Ratskin. To his astonishment, he can recognize in Sret similar a similar loyalty and behavioral in him, which he himself had in the role as a Stormvermin and has learned to appreciate this. One year before the Scabrous Sprawl campaign, the last betrayal Quote Many clanrats were assembled in the meeting hall of Mole two. Nobody knew, why Skrekch, the Fangleader of the stormvermin had assembled them. It was suspicious that no members skryre akolytes or packmasters were arround. A moan went through the room, when multiple stromvermin carried a table to the plattform. Zrik Nightclaw, the warlord was strapped to the table and was bleeding through multiple dagger stabs. Strident giggling echoed through the hall and Skrekch strut with proudly swollen chest through the central corridore, with a halberd in his hand that definitely wasn’t the weapon of a stormvermin. Zrik crane his head and looked into Skrekchs eyes. “I should have known, that you would be my ruin, Skrekch”, he said husky and coughed blood. “Ratskit won’t let this pass” Skrekch laughed louder while hearing that. But instead of looking to Zrik he turned to the audience. “BROTHERS, I assembled you here to tell you that I will take control over the clan. We won’t be slaves of Arch Warlock Ratskit and Warlord Zrik anymore.” The moan in the call was getting stronger. A flew clanrats were mumbling. A Stormvermin named Sret, who didn’t followed Skrekch, piped up: “You can not take it with Ratskit.” Skrekch giggled again: “Oh really! Brothers, listen to me. Ratskit is dead. I rammed him my halberd in the back during the last battle. As evidence, I wear his halberd which I have captured on that day. Zrik, chuckled at this remark, coughing blood again. “You are a fool Skrekch. Ratskit is chosen by the horned rat. He is not easy to kill.” “You believe in the fable that Ratskit is invincible?”, ask Skrekch while beeing so clase to Zriks that her noses almost touched. “I was long enough in service unter Ratskit and saw multiple evadable assassinations. And each time he came back”, said Zrik grinning while in pain. “Then it will be time to end this life and save you from your suffering", Skrekch grinned and raised the halberd. At that moment the door to the assembly hall swung open. Three Warlock Engineers accompanied by two stormfiends with rating guns stormed the room. "What’s going on here?" One of the Warlock Engineers, named Qhiek Grimhunter, shouted. "We take control of the clan and Mole two," said Skrekch exuberantly. "As soon as Zrik is cleared out of the way, I'll take the highest position." The entire hall winced as a laughter that was quite dark for a Skaven was listened behind the Stormfiends. "Do you really believe, Skrekch, that I leave you my clan and my parasite machine so easily?" Skrekch's eyes widened as the Arch Warlock, which was believed to be dead, made its way past the Stormfiends. "You should be dead. I cut you, Ratskit, "Skrekch swallowed. "The last 5, who were no longer among us, also thought that," Ratkit chuckled. Qhiek leaned over to the Ratskit "Should we dispatch him?" Ratskits eye lenses focused Qhiek. "I'll do it myself, after Skrekch was kind enough to keep my halberd for my return." Ratskit set in motion. His movement was quicker than expected from his outer and his age. Skrekch held the halberd to the attack, but before he could hit, Ratskit had already reached him and grabbed him with his claw. "Too slow," Ratkit grinned as he burnt Skrekch to a breeze with a swarm of warpflame. Ratskits halberd and parts of Skrekch's armor crashed to the ground. He looked over at Zrik. "Zrik, my friend. You've looked healthier, when I saw you last time." Zrik coughed but did not say a word. Ratskit leaned down to pick up his halberd as the two Stormvermin who had brought the table to the attack, another from the audience. The noise of a Warlock gun sounded and one of the Stormvermin sank to the ground. Ratskit ducked away under the hit of the second Stormvermin and pushed with the halberd. The third was about to hit, but was interrupted in his attack as another Stormvermin parried the strike and slashed the traitor with his own halberd. Then he shouldered his weapon as he noticed that the Warlock Engineers were targeting him. "Lord, I knew nothing of the betrayal that Skrekch had planned, just like most of the others here." Ratskit focused his lenses on him. "What is your name, young rat?" "My name is Sret, Lord." "Sret, you know where your place is. I see potential in you. And I guess the Stormvermin need a new Fangleader, "Ratskit said, pointing the Warlock Engineers to finally lower their weapons. Sret's eyes widened in surprise. "Thank you Lord," he said and Salute before Arch Warlock. Ratskits' eyes wandered back to Zrik, who had become unconscious and called two Warlock Engineers to himself. "Reassemble him again. I still need him " The two Engineers shouldered their weapons and carried the table away. Then he turned to the crowd. "This assembly is dissolved. I decided to participate in the Malign Portents Painting Content and with Nurgle (after having a Start Collecting Box) Phase 1 was painting the Start Collecting Box of Nurgle 10 Plaguebearers 3 Nurglings 3 Plague Drones 1 Herold As well as the Group picture. 55 people voted on February, 10, 2018 in the time between 11:00 and 17:00 in the Games Workshop Wiesbaden in Germany. At the end I was 5. of 10. Third place were the Seraphon, second the Ironjaws and first nurgle daemons converted with the Gorbits. Phase 2 was to paint one of the 4 Harbingers Since I desides for chaos, my miniature was the Warqueen I got her on February 16. because on February 10 she was sold and I didn't preorder her. So I painted her in the time between last 17th and 25th of February. Der zweite Termin war leider ein totaler Fehlschlag (hier schonmal die Bilder), bei 9 Teilnehmern. The second contest in Wiesbaden in March, 3rd, 2018 was a total fail in my case. Here were the Competing Models At the end. 86 People voted and I finished last place (with about 1 or 2 votes for my warqueen) . Third place was a Lord Ordinator with a Seraphon Head (Entry 3) Second place was another Warqueen (entry 4) End winner were actually 2 models. a Knight of Shrouds (Entry 7) and the Cave Shaman (Entry 😎 The point that frustrated me the most is, that a model that was only basecolored actually got more votes. For Phase 3 I had the choise between the following 3 Nurgle units. Glottkin, a Maggotlord or Blightkings. After I developed a little dislike for named characters from a narraive standpoint. I had chosen the Blightking. Sadly the new released Great Unclean One wasn't a choise, because the choosable models stand firm since January. This time the models from all three contests were needed. Actually there were only 5. Entries this time. (Bilder) Looks like, I didn't hit the interests of the voters (after not having a large model perhaps), because 5. place twice and last place twice. 3rd place were the Beastclaw Raiders 2nd place where the other Nurgle Daemons 1rd place was the death army. This models, to say exactly Leaders Blood Throne (120) Bloodmaster, Herald of Khorne (80) Skullmaster, Herald of Khorne (100) - General Battleline 6 x Bloodcrushers (280) 20 x Bloodletters (240) 5 x Flesh Hounds (100) Units 2 x Skull Cannons (300) Total: 1220 Also I build Karanak, but will not count him for the list because he is a named character. Most stuff is pretty standard, so they are not very interesting. The most interesting things should be the Blood Master and the Skullmaster both build with a Harald of the Blood Throne each. I know, the Base for the Bloodmaster is quite big, but the Herald won't fit on a smaller base. I think I will plan for a 2500 Point list with 2250 Points worth of models and the Blood Host of Khorne. EMMachine Posted May 5, 2019 Author Share Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) A small update after the new Slaanesh Battletome is released I assembled my Slaanesh troops last week, which I bought in December and January and yesterday I primed everything. The following came together: Leaders Viceleader, Herald of Slaanesh (120) Bladebringer, Herald of Slaanesh on Exalted Seeker Chariot (220) Infernal Enrapturess, Herald of Slaanesh (140) Battleline 20 x Daemonettes of Slaanesh (220) 20 x Daemonettes of Slaanesh (220) 1 x Seeker Chariots of Slaanesh (120) 1 x Seeker Chariots of Slaanesh (120) Units 10 x Seekers of Slaanesh (240) 10 x Seekers of Slaanesh (240) 6 x Fiends of Slaanesh (420) 1 x Hellflayers of Slaanesh (140) 1 x Hellflayers of Slaanesh (140) Total: 2340 I decided against the exalted chariot to use the mentioned 120x92 base, which only leads to the felt 1/4 of the chariot (parts of the steeds and half of the rollers) would tower over the base and I decided instead for a 160mm round base. At the end of the week, the new Keeper of Seekrets, the Endless Spells and the Terrain will arrive. Now I just need a color scheme .
