That's why I was confused, Obviously previous editions made you choose between them, or additional points, so I wasn't sure if this was just slightly top vague!

 

Guess it means they can feasibly charge in one turn, losing the shield benefit, then in the next turn if they're still in the same combat, begin benefiting from the shieldwall rule? As they've not run or charged that turn.
