Set up in hiding

Some abilites allow you to deploy outside you own deployment zone. E.g. gutter runnes, Gutror Spume, etc.

If there's some space behind enemy lines where you can deploy, but not enough room for your entire unit (e.g. there's enough space for 5 of your 10 gutter runners), can you deploy those models that can fit, and then forgo the rest of them? So basically sacrificing 5 gutter runners, to be able to place the remaining 5?

Sorry, just to go further - set up rules in core rules state you can bin models if you can't set them up.

Unless a battleplan or warscroll ability trumps that, it applies to all set ups.

As per similar rule In 40k deepstriking.  The entire unit must fit or it doesn’t drop.

where did you find that rule? I’ve never seen it before. I’ve been under impression it all must fit on the table or it doesn’t deploy.
