Harbinger-of-Nurgle
Hey just looking for a monster to add to my Nurgle Warband and was eyeing up a soul grinder (mainly since already have the model) I was just wondering are they good I know it is not a shooting monster but it is cool it does have a small amount of ranged power plus it can be made nurgle
Shane
Yes. It is quite a versatile little chap. What are you wanting the monster slot to do?
Tasman
I've had some success with him. On a lucky roll the 'caught in the claw ' ability rocks! We just each roll a die, tho, instead of the whole 'hide it under your hand' drivel....
Herald of Chaos
I like the soulgrinder, especially in my Nurgle army, it brings an element of speed which Nurgle lacks. The model is also quite intimidating to most opponents who might leave the rest of your friendly Nurgle units alone while they try to deal with it. Dolomedes
I think it's an awesome monster, It can add some nice shooting, get to places fast, have high rend attacks and just tank on its own with it's 16 wounds and 4 up save. I tend tend to take monsters much, but when I do, this is the one I like to take, just because of how well it can do in so many roles.
fued
im not a fan, it does poor damage in shooting, its melee abilities arent great either. it does do everything, but it doesnt excel in any one thing, would fit in great to hold a flank by itself while the rest of the army concentrates on the other side
james.speller
Don't forget that it gets bonuses from Epidemius for its shooting attacks as well as the melee. I reckon as long as you remember to shoot while you're in combat you're going to be fine. Also; if you get stuck down by a tarpit in melee you can still phlegm on a hero buffing them outside of the combat. (like crypt ghast courtiers)
Tasman
Yeah, I like that it will attract so much attention.
