That’s great just sad to see that there wasn’t even 1skaven player?

But still it’s great to see that there still are some people playing the great allegiances.

and some of them seem to place rather high.

The Maggotkin army I faced did contain 80 Plague Monks and a Plague Furnace!

While I expected few Destruction players, the zero Fyreslayers and KO players stands out as both are new factions to AOS. Kind of sad-funny that LoA was more popular than all 3 Order Duardin combined.

There's an ancient and beloved GW practice where dwarves are concerned.

Chaos is too good?  No problem.  Chaos is supposed to be good.

Elves are too good?  There will be a new edition to iron it out in 2 years.

Undead are too good?  No such thing as too good.

Dwarves are slightly above average?  Nerf 'em into the stone age within 3 weeks.

(Of course, the greenskin problem is that they are never too good, doin't even need the nerfing.  They usually get it anyway though hahaha)

Hahaha this is both the truest and funniest thing I’ve read on here in a while !

Top work ??

To all the Duardin players out there grumbling (as is their want) about lack of army being played  - get out there and represent! There is ONE registered Dispossessed player in 18 events acrosss multiple continents...ONE!

That’s probably bc the sales are direct only for a lot of the range though also, combined with troops that are equally as real money inefficient as witch aelves.

I am a bit sad that the Seraphon nerf hit so hard that only three guys even tried.
I thought they were on a good way to find their place balance-wise, but the first AoS2 FAQ probably was a bit too much. Sure, Kroak was too strong pre-FAQ, but instead of toning stuff a bit down they killed it completely.
So many options in that army but most of them are so mediocre in a competitive environment. Seraphon probably need a rework to find their place in the game, because for some reason they seem to be hard to tune. Either they are totally OP or pretty bad, rarely something in between, and I am puzzled why it has to be that way.

(And yes I know other armies have it way worse. At least Seraphon are mediocre and fun to play)

Anyway, congratulations to all who fought in a GT!

They would need a substantial rules change and points drop to make them even close to tournament viable and optimal before you start seeing that.

Anyone have info on Chris Myhills list?  ive heard his SCGT list was an eclectic mix of order factions.  If his GT list was similar it would be great to get feedback or details on it, its great to see Grand Allegiance lists hitting hard when they are generally slated.

Does the gautfire scorch or whatever it was called not work anymore?

It never really did :)

Now it is more expensive, and people are finally learning how to deploy against it. In the absence of the latter, it does really well, but that is more of an indication of the skill of those facing it than it is the strength of Gautfyre Skorch itself ;)

It was an eclectic order mix but I don’t have the list sadly.

Or people who didn’t even know it existed in the first place, like me :)

Solid point, yes :) And to elaborate, or re-iterate; I don't intend to say that players who can't outdeploy it are bad (there are other, far more important measures of their skill than their ability to deal with this specific battalion), but not oudeploying it means that it -appears- as a strong battalion -Either way, the Gautfyre Skorch is -incredibly- weak if counter-deployed. The Skryre player can outright lose the game before the game has even started. And vica versa if the opponent doesn't deploy properly.

I am super biased though, I think Gautfyre Skorch is a terrible battalion - Both in terms of effectiveness, and healthy game mechanics. A "I win before the game starts, or I lose" all-in-one-basket kind of battalion approach is incredibly unfun to play with, or against.

Luckily it is not Skryre's only way to play. Simply the one we keep hearing about.

I'd also like to see the list.
