Orks with shields

Hi

I play game with friend and he gt unit of 20 black orks gear up with different weapons but some models got shields.

My question if if i make let say 15 mortal wounds and he got only 2 orks with shield can he throw all 15 saves or need o throw 4 by 4 until he fail and then no saves or he cna throw all 15 saves. (he plays that he can throw all 15 wounds)

Also, 'ardboys shields don't stop mortal wounds, they only work for normal wounds.

No, he's wrong.

Wounds are allocated one at a time.

If he wants to block roll, roll 4 saves ( 2 Orruks with 2 wounds).

Any fails apply to the Orruks with shields.

Keep batch rolling remaining wounds on the Orruks with shields until they're slain.

Then you can dump on the rest of the unit.

In fact, all protective abilities stating "wounds" but not "mortal wounds" only work versus "normal" wounds.

Yeah, I'd missed the mention of mortal wounds in the OP. #rtfm
